ReviewtechUSA: Why I Returned The Xbox One

Makes me hesitant to purchase the Xbone. :(

Mine works like a charm.....I now know why they made it bigger and beefier. The thing runs constantly in my game room ( between gaming, movies, TV ) since I have my Direct TV running to it. It's quiet as can be and never gets hot. I am very pleased with mostly everything about the X1 so far. Voice command are easy and they work great.

Yup, launch consoles have issues, nothing new there.

That video made me want 3D Mario World...

That's the single biggest thing that keeps me away from the X1 as well. I don't want Kinect and a refuse to buy an X1 until they make a kinectless version of the X1.

I hope that was posted as a joke because that guy sounds like he has the mentality of an 8 year old. Crying like that on Youtube is just sad and pathetic. I feel sorry for this guy because he is a manchild.

In his defense, Reviewtech is indeed a complete hack.

I actually subscribed for a bit, because I watched a few videos, where he happened to make sense.

You guys are missing the point. Kinect is not the problem. The problem is $500 vs the $400 for the PS4. The PS4 has stronger hardware but the X1 has kinect which is great for certain things such as dance/exercise games and voice commands. Ok so MS decided that there was substantial demographic that wants kinect and they toned down their hardware so that they can include the new kinect 2.0.

I understand that and maybe you agree with them or don't but it's a respectable position. Where they have it really wrong is that they think they can charge an extra $100 for kinect and everyone will ignore the gimped hardware. No, they need to lower the price to $400 and then it will sell out. I'm talking about it's going to outsell the PS4.

At $500 it will not keep up with the PS4 and it will almost be a disaster. Why is it that these people who run MS can't see something like this which is so obvious to everyone else? These guys are the ones building the consoles and making all of the decisions but they don't understand value and the consumer?

As a supporter of the Xbox brand it saddens me that it will be necessary for them to get their butts kicked for a year before they realize they need to drop the price.

Finally, no they don't need to remove Kinect. That would be worse. If the X1 was $400 without kinect then it would just simply be inferior to the PS4 because of worse hardware and nothing to differentiate it.
