Damn Pirate Race!
Makes sense since there's no Fallout to compete with now lol. Didn't I read that it sell 1 million on the Xbox already though, either way good to see it's selling, it's a great game and needs to be played by more people.
It'll be interesting to see how will MS react when Quantum Break and Gears of War completely flop in sales on PC.
Since those games will be Windows 10 Store exclusive and all that.
"Xbox One sales were "soft" due to launching same day as Fallout 4, Superdata report says."
I think Superdata report is an idiot, who doesn't know what he is talking about.
There's always this excuse. Alan Wake didn't sell because RDR just launched. ROTR didn't sell because Fallout 4 launched. Rare games don't sell because bla bla bla.
Perhaps Xbox owners just don't like buying good games ?

A lot of people getting it crossbuy will also factor in.
People getting the Xbone copy and getting the PC version free... does that mean a Xbone sale ? or PC sale ? or both ?
Lems you're a disgrace. ROTTR is a great game and you had it to yourselves for a while. And this is how you show your appreciation? Wow.
Can't wait to see what sales numbers look like when it hits PS4. I'm curious to see if PC gamers like TR more than console gamers.

Yup, good question.
You doofs realize this launched the same day as Fallout 4.....which of course overshadowed TR. It stands to reason that releasing on the PC with a much larger user base and with no real competition, the game would fair better.

TR has always been a well loved franchise on PC... same with PS.
Hence the outcry of people when this was first announced to be a Xbone exclusive (at the time no word of it being timed exclusive)
PC and PS fans alike were just flabbergasted.

Ah. Thanks for the reminder.
Great news for sure. Over 4 million copies sold 1 million plus on Xbox alone. Microsoft Windows and Xbox dominate.
And people thought ROTR flopped lol. Cows.
What...is this?

But wouldn't UC4 take all the glory from a late port RotTR? Hell we don't have an official release date and for all we know, this game could release 4Q 2016.
Wait a platform where part of the real TR fanbase resides did FAR better than the platform of the gloaters that really don't give a damn about TR?
I'm so shocked~
I'm surprise it wasn't more considering the PC userbase was bigger and the game went for $11... but no, actually, not surprised XBO didn't di better since every salty cow from here to NeoGAF was shitting on the game since the MS deal was announced. Their biggest mistake on release though was their release window. Should have released it in that dry spell between when the TKK released and when Halo 5 released, not next to Fallout 4 and Battlefront and Rainbow Six and Call of Duty Black Ops 3. Also, should have released PC and XBO port side by side to compound the word of mouth. Anyhow, glad it's selling nonetheless, another great entry in a beloved franchise that really needs it.
Only 3times more on the biggest userbase platform? This game must been pirated to hell and back or hermits dont care about Tomb raider.
While PC's userbase is the largest, it also has a significantly larger library/releases and longer life-spans for it's games. This is a stark contrast to console's user-base which congregate to the next singular major release. On top of this, you probably are right, I'm not sure if PC gamers really care about these kind of casual titles. On piracy, TR uses the Denuvo crack protection, and was not cracked for months after release. I actually don't think it was ever properly cracked, but I have not looked up on this in a while.
I should hope so with the way the master race brags about steam numbers and such. X1 will be like the original Xbox. It will sell mediocre and have some great games that you can wait for PC. Me? I don't wait. I play with my buds on chat. Great this game is getting lapped up like a cats bowl of milk.
@GoldenElementXL: The few lems on this board on my friends list own it . Who're you speaking to?
I thought you called me a whore for a second there....
I'm just speaking in general. If a timed PS4 exclusive got killed in sales once it release on PC, Lems would poke fun at them. And Xbox exclusives haven't sold well as a whole and is why they are all jumping to PC. The ROTTR sales numbers are just going to discourage devs from making exclusive games on the console.
@GoldenElementXL: Lmao you slut!
Granted. But as Eroica pointed out the industry and place of exclusives has shifted. There is a console mkt and pc one. Some gamers cannot be bothered to do the pc gaming thing. So if a game is on pc as well as a console and that person plays on console it makes no difference to them.

Actually, it's still not cracked, and hasn't been any progress since release ever since 3DM threw in the towel.

And UC4 is in a couple of months. I have a feeling it'll release later this year with DLC.
Nobody is mentioning that PC gamers were able to buy the game for $9? Seen plenty of YouTube video bragging about it and directions how to do it.
Let's just leave that part out. Even if they weren't flaunting that glitch it sure as hell wasn't $60 and not much for competition.
Sounds pretty good, remember seeing posts last year how this game was a huge flop in sales, seems to me that it's selling quite well. Now the goal posts have moved to how much pc sold over the xbox one version since the sales flop doesn't fit anymore.
I also don't agree with the whole it didn't sell well because of Fallout 4. During the release of Rise of the Tomb Raider, it was also the period where Target was having the buy 2 get one free deal in the states. So it was pretty easy picking up all the big releases at the time.
