Rise of Tomb Raider would get "Cinematic Hate" if on PS4

Absolutely gorgeous graphics but the game seems to take everything we hate about Uncharted games and amplify it. Grabbing onto ledges that breaks, button mashing X to kick through a boulder, dash towards cliff that triggers a cutscene mid air showing her grab the cliff. All while lacking Uncharted's superior A movie story telling. Just imagine all the cinematic hate this game would get if it wasn't Xbox timed exclusive. Guess Lems had a secret fetish for Uncharted all along

Don't forget, some cows themselves said that they like "cinematic experiences" including terrible frame rates because that makes the game feel like a move. So don't blame others.

Apparently you weren't paying attention during E3 when most everyone were complaining that there was no gameplay during the demo, just button prompts or cut scenes. Why did GS make it so you can make a topic with less than 500 posts again?

this^ TR 2013 reboot also had a deep and great combat system, and RPG system, an open world map, and tombs to explore (which were decent puzzles) way beyond the UC formula of linear path, no good melee system, and generic average TPS cover based shooting

Id take tomb raiders gameplay over Uncharteds all day.... Everyone knows they're getting cinematic fluff. Which one is more fun to play?

Agreed and one of the reasons why it was shit was because it tried way too hard being "cinematic". That was my point.

I think quite a few people would disagree. Both are good in their own way. Uncharted gets a lot of criticism because it's not open enough, but then again thats also what makes it great so :/.

Of course they would. And Quantum Break too. They don't say jack shit when the Bone gets an adventure game like D4 either , but will be there to bag on Journey or Until Dawn or whatever. They can't help themselves.

The Tomb Raider reboot beat Uncharted 3 at its own game. If I were Uncharted 4 I'd be worried about the certain rise of a certain tomb raider.

The game looks amazing. I don't mind a cinematic game as long as the story is good enough and the characters interesting.

I get the dislike from TR fans. A clone product is unflattering.

Out of all the franchises Microsoft could acquire with their piles of $$$ they choose to get tomb raider... I mean none of the tomb raider games are superb games and crystal dynamics isn't exactly a superb developer... I saw a gameplay vid of the new tr and I had to check the year in the description cause I kept thinking I was watching a vid of the 2013 tomb raider game...

Yep and so would Quantum Break but since TR decided to sell out and become a face for M$ for a year they suddenly adore the series and think it'll destroy Uncharted.

I just played TR Underworld , and it was more fun.

It would get a total lack of attention because it looks as generic as the awful reboot.

TR2013 all over again, what a failure

I believe we have a new expression to add to the Urban dictionaries. The thing I noticed in the first TR game, is it is well balanced....as long as there isn't too much of the cinematics, I don't believe it would get "cinematic hate" regardless of platform.

I liked TR2013, so I got hopes for this one, don't have an Xbox so I have to wait but what they've shown looks good.

It was getting cinematic hate after the E3 presentation. Loads of it.

It already beat Uncharted with the first games (TR) in 2013 when it was multiplat (and still is), it being a better game than the majority of Uncharted games has nothing to do with which platforms it's on.

Stupid fanboys wanting games to bomb because it's not exclusive to their favourite piece of plastic, smdh.
