Rock Band 2 vs Guitar Hero WT

im more of a guitar hero fan, well used to be...

i just saw the soundtrack of world tour, and it killed all i was hyping for, IT WAS A BIG LETDOWN

the guys at e3 for rock band announced some good tracks

Guitar Hero- I look at the tracklists for every Guitar Hero game and i see only like 5 songs that i know, and yet every year i play the songs and like almost all of them. Once again i look at the playlist and i dont know 80% of the songs, but i trust they are all good. Disappointed there is no RATM tho.

Rock Band- on the other hand I looked at the playlsit for Rock Band, didn't know 90% of the songs, played them all, and hated almost all of them, along with the downloadable content excluding inside the fire and BYOB. So if they took the same route ill probably hate half the song sin the game. ALso i cant stand squares i need to hit circles for the love of Yosemtie Sam

I have the full Rock Band Bundle for Ps3, (along with the GH12and 80s with 2's guitar for ps2 and 3 and guitar for wii) and I'll be pickup the GHWT bundle and the Rock Band 2 stand alone. The GH instruments look more interesting and fun, although I still liked RB1's instruments. I will probably never pick up GH aerosmith, although I might pick up 3 for ps3 once I already have the instruments. Rock Revolution wont be anything special.

I'll probably wait for both of them, because I have a lot of songs to play through, and from the sounds of it, my brother will also want to get the Metallica GH, which I'll be playing through as well. But as for these two, they both have some very good songs on there, but overall I have to say RB2 has my interest a lot more than GH:WT does. I'll end up getting both eventually though, because they both have songs I want to play (Stranglehold FTW :D).

Although I do hate how many songs the two share in common. I could understand a few in common, but I think there are 12 songs on there that the two share, and that's not including the two different versions of American Woman.

rockband is indeed easy in comparison.

I'm a med-hard player though and not "hardcore" persay but I do enjoy interacting with the songs.

by the time there is rockband/GH 7-8 I might be up to expert level :P

Well im going with guitar hero world tour just because the drums are better. I play the real drums and i took lessons for 7 years. the drums for rockband feel terrible, they aren't good at all. the cymbol should be up more so its easier to play. on guitar hero 4, the drums actually have cymbols. not real cymbols but they are lifted up above the snare and stuff. never played on them yet, but im sure they will feel better. LOL! thats all i care about is the drums. could care less about the guitars. and didn't see the song lists from each game yet. gotta check it out! im sure both games will be fun though. i will never buy them drums from rockband 1 or 2 though. if rb lets you use the drums from guitar hero 4, then maybe i will get both! I heard they were making an electric drumset for rb 2 but its supposed to be over 400 bucks and i dont have that money. I already have a pearl drumset.

RB2 has better Drums, Over 500 Songs, and a history of great DLC content every week.

GH holds back their songs, to release Expansions, like Aerosmith, so they won't deilver over the longer term. Sure, they said they would do better(but anything is better than GHIII horrible DLC support), but saying one thing. Harmonix, GH's Creators, actually deliver.

Why? Because HARMONIX is a music developer. Plain and simple. Neversoft, the Tony Hawk Guys, are just the best Stable in ACTIVISION's House, that can do GH. That love doesn't translate, and it shows. Heck, GHIII on EXPERT was horrible.
They simply broke it, because it was their first GH game,ever.

They are both going to be neat, and I plan on having both, but RB2 (The creators of GH making it) is the way to go, imo.
