Rock Band is nothing to get excited about.

I guess Harmonix thinks it's ok to release crap songs with the game but release good songs only with downloadable content. Seriously, downloadable content is one of Rock Band's most hyped features but you guys need to realize something. Paying $200 for a game and then having to pay more money to get proper enjoyment is absurd. If we're going by history then we now it's going to be overpriced because Guitar Hero 2 and 3's DLC is laughably over-priced.Now let's examine that song list:

'Dead on Arrival' by Fall out boy= :lol:

'Enter Sandman' by Metallica= seriously, they couldn't get a better Metallica song than that? come on now. Anything from Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets would be infintely better.

'Blitzkrieg Bop' by The Ramones= again, there are much better selections than this. Like Rock and Roll Highschool.

So in conclusion: Rock band has a weak songlist, weak difficulty compared to GH3, and it's about $100 too much. Harmonix is just trying to milk you with downloadable content and you might as well invest in drum lessons or a real guitar for $200. Guitar Hero games are here to stay guys. At least Neversoft has knowledge of Rock history.

Eventually. Not at launch though, you can only buy the bundle or the game itself.

I played it at Best Buy.

I am thrilled with RB's set list. Take the Pixies for example... best band ever. Don't agree? See my above comment about opinions.

Plus, in Game Informer, they said RB is a platform that will recieve THOUSANDS of songs eventually. So I disagree with your premise entirely. In a respectful manner, of course. I'm incredibly excited, but then again I used to be in a band and play all the instuments, so... :roll:

140 for drums and game, or 170 for the bundle...the pricing is really really bad on this game. Plus the guitar sucks, the songs suck...atleast the drums are cool.

I don't think it's going to be the best rhythm game ever... but it's going to be fun, just like all good rhythm games.

Rock Band is a 4 player full-band game and from what I've heard it will have songs by The Who.

Plus, Enter Sandman is a much better song than One to play in a game like this.

I am 24 and think it will rule, and I'm sure Donalbane isn't a "kid" either.

I thought it was going to suck to but I played the drum demo at best Buy, now I cant wait, gonna get it when the I can get the game and the drums without everything else though.

And as for the songs? All a matter of opinion

and you have to remember rock band has to pick songs with good guitar,bass,drums and vocals. all GH needs is songs with a good riff, thats why you get songs like institutionalised.

and i reckon the track list is much better than GH, and i wont be buying any DLC

Enter Sandman is, IMO, the best Metallica song they did.

And Rock Band is everything to get excited about.
