Rockstar goes PS3 exclusive after GTAIV

possible reasons:

DVD9 just isnt big enough anymore

lack of standard HDD

bad relations with microsoft

look what bad things happen when they try to put games out on both systems at the same time... it gets mucked up.

Wow, you might want to read your source before posting, all the "proof" or even evidence in support of Rockstar going PS3 exclusive is one podcast **** (for some reasonthe sites name iscensored) that is apparently just a couple of people shooting the ****. Nothing from Rockstar, Sony, MS or T2. Also according to your article the podcasters may have a anti-MS bias (complaining about microsoft points).

yeah because rockstar really have a hard time providing exclusive content to the 360 that PS3 doesnt get... clearly they favor the PS3.. Yeah, they will really regret the $50 million that Microsoft offered them for exclusive DLC and they'll surely regret all the sales of GTA IV that will be drummed up on Xbox 360. Most definitely!

erm... no. it wouldnt be optimising it for the ps3 then would it? and you would miss out on "the big game that will sell everyone on the PS3" status.

I would really like for this to be true as multiplats seem to be a VERY BAD idea with the differing architectures of the ps3 and 360.

The Wii isn't competing with the 360 and PS3, it's competing with the PS2.

If Rockstar even stays in business. They're having a tough time right now financially, so I wopuld think that multi-plats, and hitting the widest possible amount of consoles would be the best strategy for them right now, especially with the PS3's low install base.

Not to mention Bully, Table Tennis, and Manhunt 2 which are all coming to the Wii. I think it's likely that we can expect a few more Wii projects from R*, be they original games, or ports, I think they'll continue supporting the Wii.
