Rockstar rep says 'complete experience' only on 360

It's no secret that the long-ago announced downloadable episodes for Grand Theft Auto IV will beexclusive to the Xbox 360 version of the game. According to Rockstar Gamesspokesman Hosi Simon, however, there won't be any consolation prizes for those who choose to buy the PlayStation 3 edition instead. When asked during a preview of the game (which you can read abouthere, if you haven't already)whether there would be any advantage to owning the PS3 version that could rival the 360's exclusives, Simon said, "not that I can think of."

"They're identical games," Simon continued. "We're not hardware makers, and we're not like a pawn between these companies, we try not to be as much as we can. We make great games for people to enjoy on whichever system they want.

"But I guess if you want the complete experience with the episodes, then yeah, you should buy the 360, I suppose," Simon said.

Heh, well Microsoft's generous sum of cash for the episodic content could have had something to do with that comment. But in all honesty, this is partially Sony's fault as well. The PS3 in itself, the fact that they didn't secure it's exclusivity early on, the fact that they weren't prepared for the PS3 launch are other indirect factors. I'm getting the game for the 360 anyways so I'm happy.SergeantSnitch

xbox version of san andreas loading was shorter and you can listed to whatever songs you ended up uploading unto your 360. i thought that was cool.

Sort of...The PS2 is where the game series began to shine, you take the PS2 out of the equation, you can't assume the game would have still been a hit. Maybe it would have been one of those games we remember as cool on the GC.

I'm not buying GTA anyway. I haven't bought any of the other ones, so I doubt it will change this time around. I just like to LOL at MS for spending $50 million on two exclusive episodes. That's just another example of why MS is billions of dollars in the red with no end in sight.
