Rockstar should merge with a dev that understands gameplay

In my opinion, Rockstar is plain amazing at creating compelling and interesting while also realistic enviroments and atmospheres, in the GTA games, and more recently RDR and LA Noire. I have always however found their gameplay to be a bit on the boring side, even though the mechanics seem good at first.

I think that we would see some truly amazing games if Rockstar merged with a company like epic games, bungie, valve, media molecule, etc

Their games are just fine.RDR wasn't all that but GTA4 was amazing.

Their boring gameplay is what always kills their games for me. Too bad we'll never see a change in the formula since a large chunk of their fanbase onty cares about free roaming in nothingness, an overglorified story, and killing hookers.

That would be up to Take Two Interactive, since they own Rockstar.

RDR had great gameplay, nothing wrong with it asides from the slightly dull cattle herding sections. LA Noire's problem was it just felt too familiar, asides from the interrogations that you couldn't fail.bobbetybob

The Warriors had great gameplay. It had an awful two player mode where the screen would merge and split, causing confusion, but the gameplay was incredible.

R* can do great gameplay, but they just haven't this gen. To be fair, RDR had decent gameplay, which was a vast improvement over GTA IV's ass gameplay, so there is still hope for them.
