They didn't have a "vision" that was only possible on PS3, they had a PS3 and decided to create a vision that was only possible on it.

I've never liked any Rockstar games besides GTA III. Vice City was ok, San Andreas was as disappointing as Devil May Cry 2. I don't have high hopes for their next big game. I dont think other people should either.

Remember when GTA3 came out for the PS2, and it completely revolutionized that era and generation? And then it set the bar for free roaming game, besically tons of GTA3 clones came out afterwards. Trying to mimic the gameplay of the GTA franchise but none came close.IE Crackdown.

Well I think with Rockstar's exclusive new franchise for the PS3, Rockstar wants to make a leap as big as the leap from the PS1 GTAs, to GTA3 on PS2. They don't want to add only incremental gameplay improvements and bigger environments to roam. They are already refining gameplay of what they've already done many times last gen, with more things to do, that's what GTAIV is for.

With the new Franchise, I think Rockstar wants to revolutionize gaming again, like GTA3 did from the PS2 era. And the only way that's possible is with the power of the PS3. Mark my words, Rockstar will create a brand new game so revolutionary, it will set the bar again, like GTA3 did. And then there will be many games coming out that will try to mimic and clone the gameplay. That's why Rockstar wants to make the new franchise exclusive to the PS3 platform, they're holding nothing back and going all out on the PS3 making something that the other systems won't be able to do.

This title will be big. Sony wouldnt make such a fuss if wasn't gonna make 'em plenty of $$$. You peoplesaying"it's table tennis" you gotta think about demographics and the general buisness side of this. Rockstar and sony wanna make money, they're gonna go for the GTA audience with something comparable but probably bigger.

Honestly, i cannot believe you have taken the announcement that sony have secured a game from rockstar and translated that into "rockstar's next gen vision - only possible on PS3."

San Andreas was possible on the PS2 and the xbox, and the graphical gap between those was much bigger than the gap between the PS3 and 360.

Man, Rockstar must have gotten real lucky with GTA. With how horrible they are and how they did State of emergency, I don't see how they have any juice left.

But, man!! I bet they put the most energy, all of their brain power, gotten more secret powers to improve on their poor skills, and made that killer extra content for GTA4, exclusively on the 360!!!!!

and i said i want more titles being developed ground up on the ps3 because multiplats are generally not a good idea when trying to get the most out of a specific system. The 360 has had quite a few titles that have been able to get quitea lot of the hardware. just look at this holiday season.

lol L.A Noire is as the title suggest a noire dective videogame. You play as dectives trying to uncover a string of murders in a perfectly recreated 1940's L.A.
