Rogue Legacy 8.5 (AAE) at GS

Here is the review.

The Good
-Accessible yet challenging

-Compelling sense of progression 

-Good balance of nostalgia and modern design 

-Classes allow for different play styles 

-Randomized character traits add diversity and a silly appeal. 

The Bad
 -No real variety in melee weaponry

Superb game, personal score is actually 9.0 from me so it flopped by my standards. :P

I recommend you all keep your eye on it during the Steam summer sale this Thu.

Just because a game is 2d and doesn't have cutting edge graphics doesn't mean its all about nostalgia.

I'd personally give it a 7.5, I was hoping for it to be more along the lines of binding of isaac, also the level designs are so samey, they just change the skin out and occasionally drop you into a bullshit situation which can be avoided with the proper build but it consists largely of trial and error.

There's a large variety of completely useless traits, I realize that might be endearing to some, but for me it's a negative.

the game is really addictive and fun, I highly recommend you pick it up asap!

Anytime I got an heir named Lady Shanoa or Sir Jarvan (one of my favorite heroes from League of Legends) I always went super try hard and I died a little inside every time I got them killed.

Until Lady Shanoa the XII and Sir Jarvan the XIV came by.

Edit: Lady Chun Li was also pretty lolzy.  

From the looks of it and the comments, (it being like castelvania) the game looks cool.  To lazy to read the review.  The number 8.5 looks cool.  I'll probly pick it up and stream it on twitch tv sometime for the hell of it.   Happy Gaming.
