Rome Total War 2 Announcement Incoming

Apparently,in this months issue of PCPowerPlay Magazine there was a teaser for next months issue and it had this

If anyone remembers, back when Company of Heroes 2 was announced, this magazine featured Company of Heroes 1 on the cover... Also the developer confirmed that a new Total War game would be announced on July 6/7.

It's all but confirmed now, so who's excited? Are console gamers going to be mad they won't be able to play the sequel to the best histrorical RTS game?

Hell yeah! Rome was one of the all time greats. My PC will die trying to run it however. Hopefully It will be a year from now and I can get a set up going.

Great news!!! Rome is the the only one in the series I've played, but I just got the complete pack so I'll be playing them all before this comes out.

This is definitely what I wanted to see next from them. Follow it up with Medieval III, then maybe try something a little more modern, like say WWI era stuff, that would be cool.

But yeah this is awesome. Imagine an updated Shogun 2 engine running thousands of legionnaires! Woot!

Gonna be amazing. It feels like the Roman Empire/Army knew that Total War games were going to be made so they made their emprie well suited for the Total War series.

I kind of figured that was going to be their next game. It makes logical sense.

I cannot wait. Shogun 2's engine and AI mixed with Rome's scale and unit diversity = best game ever made.

I would have prefered a different setting, but Rome will do i guess. I just hope loading times wont be as bad as with Shogun 2, that's the only thing i hated with the game.Tykain

As Wasdie said, Rome2 in shogun2's engine? GIMME GIMME!!!!!!!!

One thing that I really hope they add is the roman's superb mastery of military engineering... like building massive sieges and bridges.

I may actually buy this Total War if they don't cut content from the game and try to sell it as DLC.

Crestive Assembly is announcing a new Total War game on July 6th at the Rezzed show. It has to be Rome II!
