Round one goes to MS based on MC scores!

We all know The Medium got a 72 on MC, which is metric well all need to use to decide which games we can all enjoy and play.

But now it seems Destruction Allstars is at 69 MC score. Making The Medium 3 MC points better then Destruction Allstars

So by my calculations and research this give MS the edge so far this year.

I think Recternal will probably swing this back in Sony's favour though.

Yeah, I see Xbox continuing its streak of bad luck since I doubt it'll have very many green scores this year outside of the console port of Flight Simulator.

Isn't the point of next gen systems to play old games in 4k resolution. Theres barely any new games and all the new games are coming out last gen anyway if you have a 1080p tv just stick xbone or ps4.

Not surprised myself. Everything that I’ve seen on Destruction AllStars seemed very “meh” to me. I’m pretty on the fence with Returnal but I’m sure that it’ll probably fare better with the reviews.

No I just watched review of this game The Medium on David Jaffe's youtube channel it looks like a rough ps2 (FF12 has better animations and graphics than this the zodiac age version) why is this game running @ 620p on a next gen system when it looks so bad graphically?

This guy playing this made God of War 1-3 Twisted metal 1 and black and Ghost of sparta chains of olympus good games that stand of the test of time he has a resume this medium game doesn't have a good resume.

This is not next gen its just not...Microsoft needs to do way better than this to get gamers on there system.

I'll take destruction all stars over Medium any day of the week I wouldn't pay 70 but i would prolly download on PS+ or whatever I wouldn't even try out the medium for free so it is what is i don't care if it got 9/10 here its a 1/10 for me personally.

I'll take 3d all stars, botw, and 3d world an games like that every day over these new "hard hitting next gen trash exclusives" these guys are funneling out.

Shame cows were hyping this game so much and ended up being a major fail.

Destruction all stars looks way better to me as a next gen offering than The Medium from a gameplay perspective and a graphical shower. You are forza horizon fan this all stars should be up your alley im not a car guy really but i like rocket league and mario kart an stuff.

Smart to start this year, that way you can conveniently leave out Demon Souls.

Yeah where is demon souls this guy just left that one out isn't one high rated its not ps4 and its not on PC and the ps3 version looks like trash compared to it this is a next gen title.

I like The Medium because I enjoy horror type games, I’ve enjoyed the early Silent Hill games, this gives me vibes of those games, and I appreciate that. Yes I’m more interested in The Medium then I am in Destruction AllStars but so what.

Forza Horizon is a vastly different game then DA but regardless just because someone likes any particular game in a genre that doesn’t mean that they are going to be interested in all games in that genre.

I don't think God of War is coming out this year tbh. If Halo turns out great and if Starfield, Forza Horizon 5 and Wolfenstien 3 all come out this year and Sony has nothing else except for what's been announced, 2021 goes to Xbox/MS

The PS5 is rocking it, 4.5 million launch in a pandemic, Demon Soul's is one of the best launch games at 92 metacritic, Miles Morales sells 4.1 million copies (someone here made a thread suggesting it didn't do well), owners of PS5 who didn't own a PS4 last gen look forward to a giant collection of PS4 games that are all free with PS+, with many of them getting updated. Meanwhile.. Lems got Gears Tactics lmao! So The Medium comes along, which is also on PC, and gets overhyped to oblivion, with a 600 response thread about a game that scored 72 on metacritic, rofl! And now Lems are trying to brag about it, because it came out in January, and are comparing it to a free to play game that no one was hyping at all lmao. On top of that, The Medium is barely hovering over it at the moment. Yet they conveniently ignore Ys 9 with solid scores so far.

@SolidGame_basic: Demon Souls and Miles are first party so they count, also who hyped Medium? Bloober doesn't have a great track record, their games have interesting ideas and concepts but they' have a lot of that Euro-jank in them

Gears Tactics is a good game and has an 82/100 so I'm not sure what that's "LMAO" either

Ys 9 is third party and will eventually be on Xbox...same with Final Fantasy 7 and 16. The Medium will eventually be on PS5. Godfall will eventually be on Xbox etc.

Moral of the story, if it isn't first party, MS and Sony get no credit for the game.

I was just commenting on the existence of this thread which is to again overhype The Medium, which in itself is funny.

What'll truly make or break the game is how it's supported going forward.

The point is its out of Sony's hands. That's why its better to have your own first party, games/devs that you own and control rather than doing what Sony is doing and relying on third party hand outs. If certain third party games go multi-plat there isn't anything Sony can do about it

Yakuza is a popular series that was mostly on Playstation and to an extent PC, now every Yakuza game is on Xbox, every future Yakuza game is on Xbox and almost the entire series is on Game Pass

That's what the 360 did, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell etc. Hell even Gears was third party until MS bought the IP
