2016 is gonna be a great year for RPG genre and RPG fans , a lot of great games are coming out this year including some new indie titles such as Kingdom Come: Deliverance which showed really promising and this is besides Miyazaki’s bigass AAA title Dark Souls 3 , though if you ask me, DOS2 and P5 are still the real contenders here (WRPG Vs. JRPG) ….. hmm sounds Xbox doesn’t have a exclusive this year except Fable Legends

Despite being a Mass effect fan , I decided I will not put any more money into EA's pocket because of their money making policies and what they did with battlefront . so I will not get Mass effect , no matter how good it is .
I don't like the japanese and anime style stuff so there is that .
I still haven't got the time to play Divinity :(

so Deus Ex is my top anticipated game for next year .

There is less than zero chance Kingdom Hearts III releases this year.

January 2015 ... almost one year. Count me interested. Two my favourite things, noir and cyberpunk, next to each other. More cyberpunk is always welcome. Built on Unity, looks quite impressive for an indie project imo, the aspirations behind the game are good. Slated for release in 2016, for PC, with additional platforms coming later.

If you're a Mass Effect fan and end up not getting it even if it's a great game, I'm pretty sure you'll be hurting yourself more than you'll be hurting EA.

Mass Effect and Shadow of Mordor are also not RPG. Horizon Zero Dawn looks hack & slash action adventure like Hellblade. Every game is rpg now.

Don't give two shits about Yakuza (even though it does have plenty of RPG elements) but-

a) Deus Ex is an RPG, holy shit. Why would Deus Ex not be an RPG?

b) Horizon: Zero Dawn isn't even out yet, so we can't argue about it, but the devs have explicitly said that it's an open world action-RPG.

c) Kingdom Hearts is an RPG, holy shit. Why would Kingdom Hearts not be an RPG?

So many great games coming out this year; persona 5, deus ex MD, final fantasy XV, fire emblem Fates, mass effect Andromeda, and kingdom hearts 3 (didnt think it would be this year though)

Divinity: Original Sin was best RPG since Witcher 2. I'm so excited for the sequel. Even if DOS 2 was just a reskinned DOS 1 with new quests and story, I still would've been excited.

But they are not playing it safe and improving the gameplay every way possible and adding a lot of new features. As if that wasn't enough, they got Chris Avellon on board for writing. It's going to be one helluva RPG.

Good God!!! Is a non-shitty class based medieval fantasy Western MMORPG ever going to get released on the PS4?

So far all we have is ESO (shitty), FFXIV (too weeaboo), and if it ever comes out EQN which immediately turned me off for its Minecraft-esque world building and new class-less system.

Yeah, this is definitely on my list as well. Very excited about it. More so than a few others in there, in fact.

Definitely looking forward to Blood and Wine, the main game was fantastic, Hearts of Stone was sublime. The wedding has to be one the most unusual and enjoyable sub-quests I have ever played in any game.

The wedding was awesome! ^_^ One of those delightful instances in games when humour was the result of actual, smart writing. Loved it. And that heist was also very good.

I am excited for stuff like Persona 5, Final Fantasy 15, World of Final Fantasy, Deus Ex, etc etc, but I feel like helping support an underappreciated game series by sharing a video of it.

And of course Yakuza 6 is coming this year + Kiwami (in japan), 0 is coming to the US.

This year's games will hold me over through 2017.

Looking forward to the new Torment the most personally. Also Grim Dawn comes out of early access in Feb, that is the best action rpg since D2 or Titans Quest imo (It is content complete atm, just balance and bugs being squashed now till release). I also can't wait for Scalebound but I think that got pushed to 2017.

Also looking forward to expansion packs to my two favorite games of 2015, Witcher 3 and Pillars of Eternity. My list will be without Grim Dawn as I have already beat it and will play a bunch more, but def check it out. Also keep an eye on Shroud Of The Avatar, I have been playing it alot as its being made, it is really coming along nicely. Also I don't consider Deus Ex 100% rpg, but I am a HUGE Deus Ex fan, def excited for the new one, the last one was surprisingly awesome, for a reboot of sorts.
