RPG lovers: Atlus or Square Enix, which one is better these days?

Played Persona 3 & 4 or Devil Survivor? Awesome games. Other than TWEWY what has SE done well lately? Atlus is now better than SE, yep I said it.

SE has not brought up any quality games out so far but that may change.

I like SMT games. I can't say the same about FF games though.

Atlus, I've enjoyed a lot more of their games lately. SE delivers amazing products, but they are typically few and far between, Atlus does publish a lot of crap games too, ones developed by smaller developers, but all of their own franchises are golden.110million

I find the ones developed by smaller developers their best games.

Atlus gets my vote any day, I enjoy SMT way more then FF. They also release some small developer games that are sweet.

At this point, I'm liking Atlus a lot more. Games like Persona, Digital Devil Saga, Raidou Kuzunoha takes a lot more strategy to beat then games like Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy.

Aside from the Persona games, are any of the Shin Megami Tensei titles very accessible? I've been finding getting into JRPGs a bit of a daunting task and I keep hearing great things about this series, but also that it is perhaps a little more hardcore than most. Silent-Hal

I don't know about Persona, but most RPGs have the same level of dificulty with a few exceptions. Most of the time they follow a very similar structure, so as soon as you understand how one works all you have to get your head aroundwith the next are differing gameplay mechanics. They basically only require very simple stategy, and as long as youput inthe right commands when a situation requires it, all RPGs should be playable.The only time RPGs every become difficult is when they start throwing random deaths (I hate that. Terrible game design, and far too common.)at you, or require alot of grinding. Just pick any good JRPG and you will get it eventually, even if you do end up choosing one more difficult than most.

Atlus released persona 3 and 4. and are bringing demons souls to the west + they pack all their games with artbooks, soundtracks, guides etc. I use to love square in the ps2 days but atlus just takes care of their fans.

Recently Atlus has done a better job when it comes to both Publishing and developing. Over all thosugh I would have to go with Square.

Atlus just for bringing Demons' Souls to the US. I can't believe that Sony didn't do this themselves especially since Sony Japan helped FROM software make the game.

Squaresoft is way better than Atlus.

but Atlus is way better than Square Enix.
