Then obviously you don't know what an "actual RPG is" A rpg does not have to be a turn based game. How in the world is ME in any way comparable to Gears or the like? Gears doesn't have tons of side missions, you don't have extensive character depth and dialog sequences, you don't level up you characters, you can't think very tactically, you don't have 40 hours of gameplay with an extensive story in Gears. Wait.. aren't all those features part of RPG's, Mass Effect is an Action RPG, no less an rpg than Kingdom Hearts, Dragon Age, The Witcher and the like. By your definition Kingdom hearts and The Witcher are hack n' slash games.

Browsing around the fourms I saw someone (Kozzy I believe) said that there is a Risen 2 beta, so there's that.
