RPG, why doesn't the PC have 'em?

The PC is great for FPS and RTS

but why no RPG?

I mean I haven't played a great RPG on the PC...since Baldur's Gate II + expansion.

World of Warcraft is great...+ Diablo 2...but that's Blizzard, everything they touch is gold.

So why no great RPG's on the PC?

Umm What??? The PC is the best platform for RPGs, the Witcher is a recent RPG exclusive to PC that is really good.

You do realize that the "internet" is also flooded with free rpgs? Like i think nexon.com has some free games, and mpogd has a huge list of games. i think thats the name at least. Not to mention the huge titles like the ones mentioned by the other posters. Like WoW. Oh and btw, the free ones are great too! :)

Those arent great RPGs, they are outstanding RPGs and stand among some of the best games of all time.

P.S. To TC, PC has had 4 AA RPGs this year which is more than any other platform, it has just not been an outstanding year for RPGs.

Personally, I never considered BG2 to be a great and indepth WRPG. :P

The Witcher, Hellgate:London, NWN2. Next year the PC gets Dragon Age (Bioware), and Space Siege. There are probably some unanounced yet also.

Other then the Wticher and many others games recently, all they have for RPGs are RTS games that have RPG elements.
