BUT fixing a mistake is better then not fixing it at all. And lack of rumble was a big fat stupid mistake.

Yes but adding rumble fixes that right away. No one can tell if the new chips will stop the RRoD. Poor MS
noone knows rumble will fix anything... remember ps3 still has connectivity probs with their controller...

Thats why they are probably gonna try to fix both, while Ms while got the cheap way and only try to fix the hardware, if they fix it at all, but will still probably have the lousy, loud dvd drive.
