This is the dumbest article I've read in a long time. 

They can think whatever they like. I bought Black Ops II for $30 on Wii U, because that's all it's worth to me. After MW: Reflex and BLOPS1, I didn't want to pay full price for another COD game.

I actually own Blops2 for WiiU but i can see why parents buy Mario for their 9years old kids and not CoD...

No sh*t.  I usually buy the better game as well.  Why on earth would a new WiiU owner choose a multiplat over the better game that is exclusive to the platform?

I knew the Wii U would meet the same fate as the orignal Wii, but I didn't expect it to come so soon. Nintendo really dropped the ball with this. There are NO games to appeal to the hardcore crowd and there are barley any games for the casuals to get into.

lol activision ,  007 legends was better but even then both of these games were on other platforms before wiiu , so what did you expect ? people buy new consoles for new games not ports of games already out -at least i bought codbo2 ,   and ive been a long time fan of all 3 lol that said ----activision just expects sales out of a dry well honestly if activision were actually smart theyd realise that doing what they did isnt going to get them results , they will need to try harder then that , and cod bo2 isnt the best game as it is and nor is the wiiu version any different aside from off screen play and the lack of dlc- best version huh activision , right, lies lies lies  bring a wiiu exclusive 007 game then we will talk about how the sales are dismal until than i dont wanna hear it , cod sells across 3 platforms thus activision should be happy

And likewise, the audience Nintendo typically has simply don't care enough about those same games. I think that's the point trying to be made here. Some diehard Nintendo fans make a big deal about getting third party support, but you can almost name all of the truly successful third party titles on the past couple of Nintendo systems with your hands. Just as telling, they're not the same kinds of games that are perennial multi-million-sellers on the other consoles. This is the problem, as the whole fuss about Nintendo's lack of third party support the past 15+ years revolves around games that aren't going to sell on Nintendo's platforms. It has always and will continue to beg the question, "Why even bother?"

I'm not sure if the source is legit (not that I'm actually doubting it, though), but there is plenty of truth to what is being said. To be honest, it's really not so much about having to compete with a Mario game, either. There have been enough instances of third party games flopping on Nintendo consoles when there have been next to no competition from Nintendo-published games at all. And regardless of how people feel about it, things weren't going to change with the Wii U, regardless of what measures Nintendo would have taken. I'm actually shocked someone has finally come out and said something like this, but it's not something that should be a secret to most people.
