Even if it is true, its not a big deal. It wont sell for crap. The HD DVD add on did not sell nor do stand alone HDDVD or BluRay players sell.

Not many people care about next gen DVD formats yet. The only ones that really do are the ones that had to get one with their PS3.

ive only heard this rumor about 3 times on this system wars section. and i just say everytime

Something Lemmings need to remember, is if developers decide to use the HD-DVD or Blu Ray option for their games for the 360 (or MS saying they want it that way) it'll go down as the biggest shaft in history to Lemmings. Or buyers of the 360 myself. I'd be pretty pissed off. Let's hope this doesn't happen.

Actually, I would say its about 9/10ths of potential customers.

One of my favorite all-time stats: as of mid April, less than 250K next-gen DVD players had been sold....worldwide. Thats not counting the PS3 of course.

I really don't see MS releasing the HD and Blu-Ray Drives as a way to make gobs of cash. To make money, yes, but MS isn't stupid. They want to reach a larger base of people, and by going both HD/Blu-Ray they've done that.

The 360 is a gaming machine first, and an entertainment system second, the obvisiously opposite philosophy of the PS3.
