Rumor: COD will run @ 1080P on PS4, and 720P on XBO

Well thuway, bish, and others are saying it might be true. I will cancel my preorder if that's the case and will provide proof. Not acceptable if that's the case. Do you think its true?

well they are loving it over there. Id be very very surprised if true, and will bow out of next generation on consoles and just upgrade my PC. Thuway is claiming this...... and yes he hates MS, but he is a supposed insider.

I will LMFAO if true! The game doesn't look next gen at all from what I saw on the IGN video of PS4 version. If XB1 can't handle this in 1080p/60fps it will be beyond laughable, I'm surprised you're actually reporting this XBOunity. Thuway is a poster on GAF who is a developer or works in the industry. According to him the word at e3 was the port job for CoD Ghost(done by ATVI) to PS4 took only a couple of weeks and ran at 90fps while the xb0ne version took several months and ran only 15fps. His most recent post is saying that the final xb0ne version is only going to run at 720p

Damn, I hope they confirm it soon enough. This is bad. As much as I don't like lems it would be terrible for Infinity Ward to screw them up like that with a terrible port. The game doesn't look next gen at all, XB1 should easily be able to run it at 1080p.

Makes me very worried about the nextgen versions of BF4. DICE is being overly sneaky about mentioning the resolution PS4 version is running at. I wonder if we have a repeat of the same thing going on at DICE lol.

I can't believe this game cannot 1080p on xbone. Nothing is impressive from what I see.

if true they should have delayed the system, this is suicide. I will cancel, totally unacceptable, it might XDK issues, but they will always be behind. it is truly sad since they have everything down to be the better console, just need to stay afloat against the PS4. Looking like ps4 is a safe bet for 1080p, which is a big selling point Im not going to lie. its 2013, 1080p should be standard.

This is anecdotal from E3, but...

I've heard the architecture with the ESRAM is actually a major hurdle in development because you need to manually fill and flush it.

So unless MS's APIs have improved to the point that this is essentially automatic, the bandwidth and hardware speed are probably irrelevant.

For reference, the story going around E3 went something like this:

"ATVI was doing the CoD: Ghosts port to nextgen. It took three weeks for PS4 and came out at 90 FPS unoptimized, and four months on Xbone and came out at 15 FPS."

If this is true then either MS seriously goofed with the X1 or IW/Treyarch are the worst devs in the industry for optimization.

I have no interest in that garbage, online sucks, UI sucks, innovation is lacking, all it has is 1080P which is a selling point. Damn that would be embarrassing for the xbone considering Ghost already looks like crap.

It's also interesting that 3rd party devs are showing/talking about the PS4 versions instead of the xbone version. Complete reversal from last gen.
