Rumor: Death Stranding coming to PC ! Surprise surprise as an epic store exclusive !

Apparently the blessing is coming from Sony itself that wants to hurt Steam monopoly. The biggest videogames giants are uniting against Steam, and in this case, SONY is cooperating with Epic Store.

The rumor looks like very real in light of the recent news that Sony exclusives such as Heavy Rain and Detroit: Become Human are coming to PC as Epic Store exclusives.

The source is the Russian game journalist Anton Loguinov. He has a bad reputation of being a sellout. He's famous for his meme of giving every game 10 out of 10. But he also has access to insider information due to his good relations with big companies. In his video he confirms that not only Quantic Dream games are coming to PC, but also Death Stranding.

I'm supposed to believe a Russian "game journalist?" Why?

Instead, their discovery have to be confirmed with Earth-based telescopes, or by detecting them through a different method. Only then are the discoveries made official.

This has been known for a long time. Kojima and Sony proclaimed such when they first struck their partnership, long before the project was revealed to be Death Stranding.

Back then, Kojima wanted to bring Death Stranding to PC before Sony made it official it'll be PS4 exclusive but I'm sure Death Stranding will show it's way to PC at a later date once Death Stranding releases. Kojima knows the PC platform is well love and even himself, he was thrill when Metal Gear Solid 5 looks amazing on PC.

MS = Releasing their games on Steam & Sony = Releasing their games on Epic store.

For a PC gamer, you sure don't wanna see PC getting any Sony games on it?

@davillain-: What are you even talking about? These games will be self published by QD on PC, so Sony has 0 say in the decision to make it Epic exclusive for a year.

I believe he said he would be making it for pc as well before he got the engine. Sony sometimes put there arms around these projects and say shush about pc until when the time comes. Nioh had a similar situation, although this one the relationship with Sony is greater now I guess.

I dion't see why this should come as a surprise in light of the fact that MGS5 has come to PC as well e the other Kj O Kojima type of game.

I'm so lukewarm on Death Stranding, that this news wouldn't even excite me. I'll no doubt end up playing the game, and it could be brilliant, but everything shown so far makes me think Kojima is just trying to troll gamers.

Here come the PC master crybabies to complain about there being more than one place to sell a thing and for them to have exclusive things to entice consumers.

Interesting though some of these Sony games going to Epic store, besides competition to Steam it undermines Microsoft's PC digital distribution even more than the rest of the PC digital retail market. I wonder if down the line Epic and Sony team up to do something like UWP to bridge Playstation and PC with features like play-anywhere.

Lol what gave you that impression? These games aren't going to sell well on PC, due to the simple fact that they are mediocre, like most sony exclusives.

Kojima started his career as a PC developer, developing games for home computers like the MSX and PC-88 in the '80s. And even Metal Gear itself began as a PC game series, on the MSX. But after the 16-bit era, PC became mostly irrelevant in Japan, so he's happy to see PC making a comeback in Japan over the last few years.

Death Stranding was a time exclusive from get go , I don't know why some of you are surprised , anyway it's just a rumor and nothing confirmed yet.. if Death Stranding will come to PC it will be on steam

I'm glad you brought that up because people don't realize that Kojima's actual background was in PC or Computer games. If I remember correctly he even said the exact same thing in one of his interviews at the time of MGS V.

Kojima was mainly a PC developer from the '80s to the mid-90s. He had no real interest in developing for consoles until the PS1 came along. And that's only because the PC gaming market was dying in Japan around the mid-90s, forcing many Japanese PC devs to jump ship to consoles.
