Rumor: DIABLO 3 NEXT BLIZZARD PROJECT(caps)

Did you know that the development team for Starcraft 2 is really small? They're only like 30 persons I've heard, because most of the Blizzard team is working in WoW and that supposed "next-gen MMO". Maybe this next-gen MMO is going to be Diablo after all...

Pity since I consider the Diablo franchise one of the top online multiplayer franchises of all time. Countless hours were spent on the game by many, many people.

Hopefully they won't make it an MMO, seeing that they would change the name if that was the case (to World of Diablo, for example), and not name it Diablo III.

I don't see why you do if you like Diablo. The goals are basically the same: Kill big monsters, get phat lewt.

I personally hope Diablo III becomes a MMO and hopefully Blizzard can apply the lessons learned from WoW to deliver a completely different experience. Besides, the MMO market could use a Gothic Horror MMO.

If you did that at later levels, you'd get killed within seconds. That's not to say that Diablo can't be a clickfest but you are underestimating it's gameplay.

please dont let it be a MMO, they already confirmed that the new MMO they are working on is a new IP, so if they are also Developing Diablo it wont one, i guess.

I still play Diablo II, even its singleplayer.

Thinking about it, i think you're right. i was a kid back then when i played d2 and i had tons of fun with it playing alone. I guess since it's because i was still a kid. But as i said i despise MMORPGs. I want to play D3 in SP.
