It sure has been awhile since I played FF2 on XBOX, the best horror game ever, along with silent Hill 1 and 2 .... I hope it's true, the genre is lackluster recently.

I own Fatal Frame 1-3 and did enjoy them. You can get the entire first three of the series on PS2 for those of you that don't know and are interested in getting the games.
The first game, Fatal Frame, was released on PS2, and then later (about a year, maybe six months later) an Xbox port was released for Fatal Frame 1. Fatal Frame 2 was then released in 2003 for PS2, but again in 2004 an Xbox port was released. However, perhaps due to sales, Fatal Frame 3 was a PS2 exclusive.
It's a shame Nintendo of America Blocked the latest game, Fatal Frame 4, from coming out here to the U.S...despite the fact it sold 75,000 copies in Japan. Tecmo hopefully learned it's lesson with that deal.
It's nice to see the series is coming in some form again, I had some good times with it too, TC. :P
[QUOTE="spookykid143"]May i ask why someone would want a collection over a new game? Because i can't find the games in my country. Where do you live?[QUOTE="johny300"]Damn i wanted a collection.johny300

Getting collections is not that bad... pretty sure the new generations of gamers haven't played those, so having the opportunity to check on those titles is always good.
And of course, becauseI haven't played them either :P
Isn't it owned by Nintendo now?
Where the f*** is the team that made siren on ps3 ? i want that, anyways i love horror games i hope this is true.TheGuardian03
Making Gravity Daze for the PS3. I really want a new Siren game too, but the sloppy, short nature of the PS3 game makes me think the series was cut short.
Wasn't there supposed to be a Fatal Frame 2 remake? Did that already happen?
I actually didn't like 2 so much. To me the game feels more like an RPG than a horror game.

Why would Fatal Frame be owned by Nintendo? They never purchased the rights to the series or anything to my knowledge. Anyway, I'm glad now maybe we'll see it localized since it's not on a Nintendo console.[QUOTE="hakanakumono"]Isn't it owned by Nintendo now?

Other information suggests it was moved from PS2 to Wii.
Turns out that new Wii Fatal Frame hasnt been talked about for months or released. Maybe it was transfered to the PS3?

Or maybe another Rune factory case with PS3/Wii multiplat meh hopefully thats not the case I want a real HD Fatal frame XX.
That actually seems more likely.
IIRC FFIV bombed so I can see them avoiding a high budget exclusive project.

No, Fatal Frame isn't owned by Nintendo, they merely published the last game in Japan. The Wii was huge, it was a good seller, but it was blocked for release by NOA since it was published by Nintendo. Tecmo could have found another publisher, but probably didn't think it was worth the trouble, or more likely, no one stepped up to publish it. This isn't the first or last time NOA would protect the Nintendo of America branding.
TECMO is no stranger to letting other companies publish their games, like letting M$ publish Ninja Gaiden 2 for instance.
Regardless, it's a TECMO IP.

Alright, thanks for the information. And oh really?
The only thing about Fatal Frame 2 is ... I don't want to have to go through those doll fights ever again ...
