Forza Horizon 5, Xbox Game Studios' best rated game this generation, could be releasing on the PS5.

Thoughts?

I think the PS5 getting a game from the classic Halo / Forza / Gears trio is a pretty good sign that Microsoft is truely open for business when it comes to releasing games on PlayStation.

The beauty of Horizon is that it does have heavy simulation settings if you choose to play that way, and the cars will behave off road as you would expect a street racer to behave off road lol.

Pretty much this. No more owning a PS5 when most of them will come to PC in the long run...looking at you Ragnarok as an example. and besides, Forza games are on PC anyway.

I'm just glad Forza Horizon 5 is coming to PS5 so everyone can enjoy it. Hopefully, they'll enjoy it more than they did for Grand Turismo.

Microsoft has to. They just spent more than $100B buying up studios left and right and the only one making them any money is Activision/Blizzard. Add that to the fact that no one is buying the Xbox and they're in a tight spot with investors. I won't be surprised if MS goes completely multiplat and drops the console hardware.

I think they shouldn't bring any of the big 3 to PS but whatever, doesn't affect me.

Release more old games on PS5, sea of theoves clearly demonstrates they PS needs them.

Keep more games coming to GamePass and costs low.

Build a console that plays PC games and therefor PS games.

In a Game Theory'ish way, the market being a zero sum game, MS putting their live service games on PS consoles could potentially hurt Sony in a few ways. For starters, live service games suck up everyone's game time. MS has a slew of addictive live service games to keep PS gamers off of Sony's very mid at best GaaS games that will be coming out. Keeps PS users from playing more third party games as well, maybe compelling them to broaden the systems they support to pick up the slack. It means Sony having to compete on their own system for similar games. It means revenues MS will use to bring more day one games to Game Pass.

I've said before I think it'd be funny MS sneak Game Pass onto PS systems by making games available as free demos that unlock to full game status when you link an Xbox account to it that has an active Game Pass susbcription.
