Rumor: God of War Remastered trilogy will be announced next month

Rumors of God of War remasters have been circulating for some time, together pointing to the potential release of the rumored remasters.

The latest update comes from a post on Bluesky by Jeff Grub, commenting on a piece of art that will be shown off during a God of War’s 20th anniversary art show next month. Grubb commented that he believed the rumors of a remaster were premature, but noted that it could happen “closer” to the anniversary in March.

Thoughts, SW? Would you play God of War remasters of the original game? I’m curious to know what they will do with it.

I’d probably get them but may wait for a sale first.

I haven't played all of them but I'd like to at some point. Not something I'd buy new hardware for but if they put it on pc I'd pay.

This was a long time rumor so of course the anniversary makes sense and I support this remastered since both God of War 1 & 2 have never been remaster and have been stuck on PS2 for years. Though I wish the PSP games would come to this collection of a trilogy. Day one purchase.

I wonder how the mini games will be treated in 2025.

I'll wait for the remake trilogy that will release 1-2 years later, probably. Besides, the PS3's God Of War collection felt like very little effort went into it so they gonna have to at least upgrade pre-rendered cutscenes to be consistent in quality with the real-time gameplay.

They already did a remaster, though it wasn't done very well. They'll certainly have to do better than their last slap-dash attempt.

It's Sony of course this remaster rumour is true, its all Sony does these days.

If they're blue point style upgrades - would be tough to pass up.

If it's just higher res versions of the originals I'd only be interested on PC so that I could I have em on the go .

@lamprey263: I didn't know there was a collection for PS3. I was all over for God of War 3 at the time.

Playstation has no new games

Had those collections, and enjoyed playing those versions, what was wrong with them..

Honestly similar quality is all they have to do, upscaled ports with a HD filter.

Not interested in censored remasters. Sony is psychotic.

Will get them on PC.

I'm currently replaying Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta so if these have GOW 1-3 that'd be perfect.

More re-releases? That's so cooZzzzzz.
