From Bungie's booth at PAX. I'll leave you guys to decide what it could be....
I would of thought Mythic is the next map pack but why is it written on the Main Menu ???

Perhaps instead of version numbers (which they do now) for PAX they chose something more eye-catching to draw crowds?
More maps are most welcome, as would be an episodic game content expansion, but my current 360 HDD probably lacks the space for that.
Bungie also said 'You may have finished the fight, but it isn't over yet', that sounds exactly like a description of an extension pack or episodic game content.angelkimne
I thought that they were referring to the games that are said to be currently in development. I would seriously be pissed if they released expasions/games like that unless they release a disc version as well, since I love me some Halo, and my 20 Gig HDD is more than a bit full with 30 downloaded games, some the Originals.

Well they did release a disk version of the Halo 2 maps. So i guess they could do it here. There is a 1.2 update being released at the same time.
Maybe its just their "slightly more interesting" way of titling game increments?
Please some singleplayer DLC, why do devs neglect this?FirstDiscovery
Because its a lot harder and to be honest, the majority Halo 3's community is terrible. If they got wind that Bungie was creating new content that wasn't MP maps, there would be a RAGE fest.
Still, I hope it is single player content.

Hmm guess so, but some SP content for once would be niceAs we're on it, when's Halo 3 coming to the PC?metalgear-solid
NEVAR! What would make you think of such a preposterous thing!?
srry halo 3 isnt coming to pc halo 2 sold real badly they wont want to make another one on pc plus thier working on three other projects but this sounds real intresting now i got to go get the legendary map pack soon druggyjoe3000Yeah because you 'totally know'
Halo CE sold well over a million on PC, and 2 was not expected to sell well, a 3 year old port exclusive to Vista. Really now.
Microsoft owns the IP, and im quite sure we all know like so many 'only on 360' titles it will inevitably be ported, saying otherwise is almost on the verge of grasping for straws.
Does "Mythic" have anything to do with Bungie's previous franchise, Myth?agentfredIt's the name of the secret fifth difficulty in Halo 2 where you grab the mythic skull (same with Halo 3).
People still care about Halo?Guiltfeeder566

Just delete the games you dont play very often. You can download them again whenever you want, for free if you've already paid once, and arcade games download super-fast anyway.

Nay, it's the name of a difficulty setting on the game. It has Easy, Normal, Heroic and Legendary. There are skulls hidden throughout the game however, which have a variety of effects if you find them and turn them on. One is called Mythic which makes the game insanely difficult.

1) Halo 2 didn't sell badly at all. :?
2) Bungie have never made the PC versions anyway so their working on three projects right now would make no difference.
3) They would never release two parts of a trilogy on a platform and then leave the third.
its the mythic map pack, i thought it was pretty obvious, you know.. 3 new maps for multiplayer for the same price as always...diped
Why would the title menu be affected by a map pack?
I think it's almost definately a map-pack on a disc sort of thing:
Live from the floor of PAX 08: Bungie is demoing a new Halo 3 map called Assembly; the picture above shows the title "Halo 3 Mythic," which the Bungie guy said was just a placeholder name for the map pack. He said he "doesn't know how it's going to manifest itself to the public," whatever that means.

Even though I'm hoping its more than a map pack, the title screen might just be for press reasons. Please Log In to post.
