Rumor: Killzone 4 in early concept development

When we broke the news about the MGS HD bundle being released before any other sites, it caused a slight uproar.
Well, here's for another.
One of our sources has confirmed that Guerrilla Games has just started work, mainly concept ideas, forKillzone 4 but the game won't be officially announced until E3 next year, when Sony will possibly reveal details about the PlayStation 4 console.

Our source said, "The guys at Guerrilla were given a break after the Killzone 3 development, some time to refresh, and work on Killzone 3 patches and content, but also to get a much needed breather. I just spoke with one of the guys on the development team, and he confirmed that Killzone 4 has now entered early concept development, but Sony's giving them a lot of time with this one, apparently not planning on anything "official" to announce/show until next year's E3."

Killzone 3 was garbage, I hope they go back to how KZ2 was for KZ4, KZ2 was so much better IMO.

I don't particularly care, unless there are new directors and game designers working on it.

I hope they dont. KZ2 spawn greanades,rocket spamming and grenade spaming made the game anoying. I love KZ2 but after play 3 I see no reason to go back the way it was.

kz3 needed an extra year, it was so obviously rushed it's not even funny

kz2 just needed a few changes....thats all...kz3 is such a step down and so "noob" friendly it was sad

Only way for me to buy it is if they get rid of the Killzone 3 Gameplay Mechanics and put back the original Killzone 2. Seriously, thats what killed Killzone 3. The new Killzone gamers enjoyed it but the old killzone fans hated it. Thats why I play Killzone 2 and sold Killzone 3. Also, PS4 is not going to be revealed at E3 2012..:roll:

Just the fact I like KZ3 mp more then KZ2 proves this statment wrong. Since I was a big fan of KZ2 mp,but after KZ3 came out and actually made some things better which I mention in page 1 i became more fond of KZ3.

I dont really see a huge problem ether way. If they kept it fine if they didint keep the controls the same fine. I also found all the classes pretty balanced. Im also happy that you didint need to do some special thing to get a upgrade on your skill. Since it was just anoying and unfun. I like the point system much more.

Im still having a good time with it. Im close to 40 hrs just on MP and just bought the recent map packs. Say what you want about GG and the work they did on KZ3 but they at least know how to give a fair map pack price.

I didnt like KZ2 at all because of the god awful controls so I am waiting for KZ3 to hit bargin bin price. I will do the same with KZ4. Too many generic shooters out these days to bother spending my good money on all of them.

I honestly wanna get KZ2 and 3 ... they looks great imo ... it's just ... some major money problems.

Thats one thing I can agree on. THe matchmaking is just butt at times.

To be honest I didint find much problems witht he game weapons. Me personally im mainly medic and enginer.

Really? I find it the other way around. The main characters, story and gameplay were better in KZ3 then it was in KZ2. I mean I'm not saying that the main characters in the game or the story was that great but at least it was a hell of a lot better then it was in KZ2 since that game had no story and I wanted to punch Rico each time I saw him while in KZ3 he was more likable this time around. Plus there was more variety in the campaign levels then it was in KZ2.

I frequent the Killzone official forums quite a bit, and have recommended to a GG dev (they will respond to posters from time to time) to integrate Single Player campaign as the "ISA campaign" for 1-2 players, but have a completely seperate campaign exclusive to 3-4 players where you play as a squad of Helghast doing mini-missions (similar to Spec Ops in CoD, but with some "Operations"-like cutscenes thrown in). However, these missions all build up to one mini story and have purpose between each other.

A GG dev said he liked the idea, but couldn't see the possibility of putting it in Killzone 3. I hope he sticky-noted it for potential Killzone 4 ideas.

And you + a few of your friends who likes Killzone 3 doesn't equel the whole Killzone 2 fanbase, either. It works both ways. All I know is that I have met DRASTICALLY more Killzone 2 fans who loathed KZ3 then those who enjoyed it. The KZ3 Beta forums where filled with nothing but pages among pages of rage and hate from hundreds of posters.

KZ3 got worsze in just about every area imo from KZ2.

the character's were and voice acting were even worse then in 2, didn't even think it was possible. The campaign was infuriating and cheap. (Everyone's automatically gonna assume I suck, but I beat KZ2 no problems) People bash MW2 for being just set piece after set piece well this game was exactly like that too. The only good thing about KZ3 are its graphics.
