I still don't get how a game can be launched in one country, yet it takes so long to get it into another country. Can someone forgive my ignorance and explain that to me?

If they did, that would be a dumb move. They need to spread out the releases of thier main games, so sheep don't have massive game droughts like with GC.Trading_Zoner

From 1992 to now, there have been 7 Mario Kart games on various platforms: 2 in the arcade, and 1 on each the SNES, GBA, N64, GCN, and DS. Think of this as 1 Mario Kart game every ~2 years (I don't think the arcade versions should even count, but whatever).

From 1987 to now, there have been 12 Final Fantasy games (main series). Think of this as an FF game less than every 2 years (although there was a four year gap between XI and XII).

I'm not going to say Square should stop making Final Fantasy games, since I greatly enjoy them, but to say Nintendo should make a new racing title because you've played multiple versions already is just silly. There has only been one Mario Kart on a respective system. They're updating one of their biggest franchises for each generation.
