Rumor has it North American localization for Xenoblade Chronicles has wrapped up, and currently, localization for The Last Story is in the works.

According to information posted over on Operation Rainfall, an inside source at Nintendo slipped the information to the site, and if true, thank you Santa.

The information on the page states the Redmond, Washington branch of NOA has been working with other locations to bring Xenoblade and The Last Story to North America, with the former being completed a month or so ago. Testing for European and NA versions of The Last Story are set to start in a month's time.

At this time, there is still no word on localization for Pandora's Tower.

We'll send a mail.

Meanwhile, Xenoblade Chronicles is set for an August release in Europe.

Don't believe them. Nintendo just denied any plans to release this game in NA, and a few days later this? Too much BS.

Personally I'm upset with Nintendo wether or not they actually end up releasing the games. Nintendo pretty much gave us the middle finger when we asked for it. What are they gonna do? "Yeah that was all a joke guys"...not funny Nintendo.

I dunno, the many people that work for Nintendo of America, one of them has to disagree with the head's decision.

We asked for the middle finger? :P

I'd be either really pissed or laughing at myself/others if it really were a joke (Read: Free advertising campaign). We'd've been taken for a ride. Sure we get the games whose releases had been uncertain since announced, but still...

I hope this is true but I don't know, if Xenoblade was finished then don't you think Nintendo would have shown it at E3? Maybe, just maybe they're planning a announcement and they are saying they don't have plans of bring them over here to NA so to not spoil it early.

This is both great and terrible. Great because we get more awesome games that more people can play. Terrible because the internet is going to be filled with 'Operation Rainfall' members going crazy and acting like they did something incredible. If the rumors are true and Xenoblade is done, it started localization before this stupid thing started.

Don't believe them. Nintendo just denied any plans to release this game in NA, and a few days later this? Too much BS.SaltyMeatballs

I wouldn't be so sure. Companies love to deny projects until they're ready to announce them.

Well it would not be weird if localization was done for Xenoblade since the european version will need English..

Maybe Nintendo is trolling us. I hope so. I would love to play those games. I mean, I will anyways, but I would prefer a localized NA version over the EU version.

Why exactly would they announce that they wouldn't localize them, and then do? :? It makes no sense. I wont be complaining if it turns out to be true though.

Be honest here...

How many of you thought that they wern't going to localize these games? They never said they wern't and people still threw a hissy-fit.

Best explanation is that we're being taken for a ride to spread awareness of the game in both Europe and America.

Both NoE and NoA need to advertise games that don't have the same name power as something like Mario, meaning it'd require hardcore support and won't get a huge marketing fund.
Both companies had neglected the three games, especially Xenoblade, beyond their announcement.
Many people outside of Japan had completely forgotten about the game by 2011, myself included.
E3 nears. Zelda, 3DS, and WiiU are most likely going to take the spotlight. Need to keep focus on them. XenoStory's Tower doesn't fit in with new game theme anyways.

Operation Rainfall enters planning stages.

Reggie's the most recognized NoA member and his body is always ready, making NoA suitable for taking the flak.
E3 hype dies out, giving an opportunity to start Operation Rainfall.
NoE drops the bomb. Everyone gets pissed.
IGN thread starts very quickly afterwards to spread awareness among community.
NoE starts trolling by announcing The Last Story and Pandora's Tower individually.
Facebook trolling in two parts. Part 1: Wait for more updates. Part 2: Never say "never".
Reggie posts anonymously that Xenoblade's almost ready for NA.

Be honest here...

It's a conspiracy!

The alternative's to give up altogether. To give up on XenoStory's Tower would be to give up on Nintendo entirely as far as my opinion on them goes. Got to believe, man. Besides, someone needs to argue for the sake of arguing and give Nintendo the benefit of the doubt, perhaps shed light on thoughts and ideas that might've never come to light otherwise.
