Rumor: Respawn's new game Xbox Exclusive,New Xbox 6 months behind

The long-awaited first game from Respawn Entertainmentthe studio helmed by the creators of Call of Dutywill be exclusive to the next-gen Xbox, according to two unrelated sources familiar with the game. One of our sources indicates that there will also be an Xbox 360 version, but no versions for rival PlayStation and Nintendo consoles.

An Xbox-only Respawn game would be a coup for Microsoft and a fascinating twist to a number of significant sagas. It has implications for publisher EA's rivalry with Call of Duty publisher Activision; for Microsoft's competition with Sony and, less directly with Nintendo; as well as for the ongoing debate about always-online gaming. Two sources have told us that this new game is, in fact, always-online.

Guaranteed this game will be tailored for the COD crowd so this game appeals to me about as much as hammering my foot to the floor would.

I don't think there is enough time to change specs, right now the only thing they can change is clock speed. Also I think the delay might be beacause of bad yields possibly from the esram. One of the big negatives of embedded memory is that increases bad yield rates in chips.

I can see how this would work, EA partners with Microsoft, EA owns publishing rights to Respawns new game, Microsoft remains silent over all the rumours, EA trying to implement DRM. Personaly i dont think i care whatever Xbox does, i only care what developers do with next gen systems

Only at the start of the year Xbox 720 rumours were popping up every week and everything on the PS4 front was quiet, leading many to think it would launch in 2014. It's very strange to me how MS could f*ck that up while Sony continue to do everything right.

EA is publishing this game. I remeber them saying they'd keep Mass Effect exclusive to 360 when they bought Bioware. We saw how that turned out. I don't see them keeping any game exclusive to any platform.

True. Most of 360 "exclusives" were timed, that came later to ps3 and/or pc. I expect same from next gen. Microsoft tries to get you buy 720 with their timed lineup, but later in its life you get one major exclusive in year and kinect shovelware.
