Quentin Cobb a Sr. game designer who was hyping their game for a long time has apparently left Sony per his linkedin profile:

The tweet makes it very clear that at the very least the team that Sony tried to create does not exist anymore, and likely that the game itself has been cancelled.

Really sucks to see a new studio that didnt even get its time to introduce itself get shut down, especially as per the tweet and the linkedin page the game got cancelled around when PS5 has launched.

The secret AAA team Sony was putting together, that was rumored to be working on a Spinoff Uncharted game, may have been shut down, and their game cancelled. This was supposed to be Sony's version of The Initiative/InXile/Playground Games.

If it was shut down is because the game sucked

I am not sure why this matters. Its not like we knew or saw anything that was promised from this studio. Is there really anyone looking forward to another Uncharted game?

Looks like it didn't work out. Not sure how many people were working in the studio but hopefully they find other work soon.

Studios get shut down, with projects that never see the light of day, all the time. Always a shame, but a reality of the industry.

I enjoyed Uncharted series especially Uncharted 4 I really loved when they search for clues of the treasure location. Lots of beautiful set pieces and exciting moments in the early chapters and will definitely be happy if the new team do more of those. I do though hope the lead for the next game will still be male. We already got Tomb Raider on the female side so I just want a balance of eye candy.

@sakaixx: If they so a sequel I'd imagine it would be Drake's kid from the 4th game, his daughter. Prequel of some sort...well they could easily fit new stories into the main games timeline and use Drake again.

Is Lost Legacy just as bad as Uncharted 4?

@Pedro: Lost Legacy isn't bad at all. I like it more than UC4 (despite I'm cool with UC4) and playing as Chloe was the best part. It made Nadine a much better character in LL. If you are looking for a hard challenge wise, UC4 is definitely the hardest in the series, on "Crushing" it's an absolute nightmare whereas the other 4 games are manageable, including LL. You should give it a go and totally skippable if you didn't play UC4.

Unfarted is a movie. Just wait for the 5th one on netflix.

@davillain-: Uncharted 3 personally is more bullshit. The amount of enemy spawn in that game is stupid high even on normal difficulty.

That one was short, so more like a tv Show lol.

I did not enjoy Uncharted 4. It was a miserable experience except for one level, the At Sea level which feels more like an Uncharted game out of the 22 levels.

Besides there have been more than 7 uncharted games released. The last of us 1 and 2, are pretty much uncharted clones lol. I didn't give tlou a shot all these years because I thought it looked stupid, its a shame too i just judged it from the front cover. If I knew it was uncharted but with zombies, I wouldve jumped all over that a long time ago.

actually more like 7. Naughty dog has been covering up tlou as an independent game, but its pretty much a carbon copy of uncharted but set in a different environment. 7+ movies in all.
