Rumour Halo 3 SP is 8-10 hours long

OK, so it's too early to complain about the game's length, but we admit to being a little concerned. We blasted through two missions -- nearly a quarter of the Campaign, if rumors are to be believed -- in a little more than two hours. Later missions will undoubtedly be longer and more challenging -- but even so, we'll be a little bummed if we clear the Campaign in just 10 hours. It's just that Halo 3 plays so well -- it's such a refinement of the series -- 10 hours just doesn't seem like enough. Ah, but maybe we're just being selfish...especially when you factor in multiplayer. And Forge. And saved films. And Bungie Recommends. And...you know what? Never mind

IF its true, then it better have a damn good multiplayer or this is a certified flop.

Also, your claim in flawed. 6-10 hours. That's a very large gap, my friend.

Mainly every game can be finished within 10 hours, except RPG's. This should be no surprise and shouldn't disappoint anyone. Cows better not try to bring the game down because of its length. I can think of many PS3 games that don't even get to 10 hours.

Well the good thing is you'll get to find out how it ends very quickly. The bad news is it will be over before you know it.

One other nice thing about Halo is that even teh SP is somewhat replayable. But you'll probably play MP instead.

Personally I think it should be a 15-20 SP game.

It took me a while too, but I typically like to kill EVERYTHING on the level before going to the next. But if you run from start to finish I'm sure it could be done a lot quicker.

Where did you get the 6 hours from?

I can see 8 hours (1/4 done in 2 hours) and they state 10 in the article. But no where is 6 mentioned...so I'm guessing you just took a little creative liberty in trying to start a riot?

why would you be mad? 10 hours is great for a FPS these days. Besides, the Halo series hasn't ever been solely about single player. :)

obviously on Easy or by jutting your way around the levels by going out of the general field of play. :| that's hardly passing a game in that time frame seeing how it should be played through on at least the normal setting.

So you just take the guessed game length 1up said, and add a smaller number that's completely irrelevant to average it out... I can play this game.

Oblivion can be beaten in 3-200 hours.

I think that Crysis SP is only around 12 hours or less.

This shouldnt be that big of a deal Halo 2 sp was less than 10 hrs. See part of Gamespot review below.

1UP doesn't know how long the single player is. The last level could take four hours to complete for all they know.
