Summary of article: Microsoft paid Rockstar$75 000 000 USD so that GTA IV wouldn't be PS3 exclusive.

Thoughts?

For me, I find their behaviour a bit low...afterall thats all the company ever does it seems like...pay Activision, pay Bungie and now pay Rockstar :P

Seeing as the three prior GTA games all came to the PC and the xbox also, this rumor seems very unlikely. To go from multiplatform development for one of your biggest bread winners to suddenly deciding to only support one console (which if we recall, wasn't doing very well at all at the time...) just makes no sense.

Also, Patcher. 'Nuff said.

Finally, in the unlikely event that this is true, i dont think it's 'low' at all to secure the biggest games for your platform. The notion makes no sense. :?

Generally devs don't support one system just for the sake of it. It is possible that this happened however I think if so it would be simply a counter to an offer from Sony for exclusive rights.

I do not believe it anyways but I am wondering though can you explain how it is a bit low since this should be rather interesting. I am curious how a MS hater can spin these into something bad 1- Microsoft made sure their fans had a great game. 2- the game was still multiplat.

Probably something like "If it's on Blueray, we would have 1000x bigger city with jets"
