Ryan Payton Has Left Kojima Productions.

Ryan Payton The Assistant Producer for Metal Gear Solid 4 has left the building, I wish the best for him.

He mentions MGS5 :shock:

I'm pretty satisifed with all I've accomplished at KP. I set my goals and hit almost every one. The dream has always been to get an original game concept green lit, but that'll have to wait until I find a new home. The good news is that I've got plenty of exciting ideas that I've been keeping close to my chest.

It'll be hard not being involved in MGS5, but I've got the utmost confidence that Hideo Kojima, Ken Imaizumi, and our amazing team will put together another blockbuster game. I'll be cheering from the sidelines."

It's pretty obvious there will be another MGS, but I highly doubt it'll be written/directed by Kojima, and it won't be about Snake.

It'll either be a prequel with Raiden, or something completely new but still in the MGS universe.

It'll probably dawn a new name also since Snake won't be the main character anymore (and shouldn't be). If they bring Snake back for 5 i'll be pissed, i love Snake but his story needs to end with 4.

Man, I fear the future of Halo and MGS franchises.

At least Kojima still has his hands on MGS... even if it isnt as "hands on" as he has been... but heck, Bungie wont even be making Halo 4. Kinda crazy for both of these games. :(

Wow if that is going to be true, it is going to be hard for the developers, alot of pressure would be on them to make a Halo game that everybody enjoys.

As for Halo Wars, no I don't think so, it is being developed by the same team behind Age of empires series.

seriously, they could still have a snake clone, but have a different voice actor. maybe have someone who speaks more natural & not sounding like they're forcing the words out & running out of breath every 5 seconds.

People keep forgetting that for some reason. Go on youtube there's recent videos of David doing the original MGS voice at conventions and stuff without any of that raspy grasping for breath stuff.

I'll be honest, MGS4 is the only game where Hayter's voice didnt get on my nerves. When I used to play the other games it seemed so forced and stereotypical... but in MGS4 it finally felt right since he was aging, and is a smoker and what not.

I went back and played MGS3 after I beat MGS4, and I found his voice to be more tolerable, I guess because I finally accepted it in the fourth game. But before I played MGS4 his voice kinda got on my nerves.

Not as bad, but not good either. I still prefer the voice over actor of Ocelot in MGS3.

yeah I suppose that's a good point regarding his aging, chain smoking & ill health in MGS4, but I couldn't stand his voice in the other games.

they wrap his story up in 4, and if the event on december 12th is what i expect it to be then i really dont think its possible for snake to be in 5
