SA upset at Insomniac for Sunsetoverdrive exclusivity. Petitions closed.

The sixthaxis hink Insomniac have made it pretty clear that Sunset Overdrive was to be an Xbox One exclusive but this has not stopped fans from requesting the game go multi-platform and posting a petition for the change on the Insomniac forums. The thread was quickly locked, the petition removed and a rather sharp message was posted beneath.Sunset Overdrive is and will be exclusive to the Xbox One. Petitions will not change that. We have a partner in Microsoft, that we are happy with for this title. That doesnt mean we cant and wont work with other publishers (see Into the Nexus). We realize not everyone is happy its exclusive. We hope the game speaks for itself though and the console becomes a nonissue. Thanks. I am not entirely sure how the console can become a non-issue* when the game is not on the console you happen to own but the message is clear: Sunset Overdrive is Xbox One exclusive and any mention of multi-platform shenanigans will be shot down fast than you can say My, that looks suspiciously like Microsoft saw the petition and demanded it was removed. *Unless that is a hint the game is going multiplatform. Strange that no lemmings are begging for KZ:SF or Drive Club to come to the XBox One. Since I'll have both systems, begging for game won't be needed. Still if I had to have one game go from PS4 to XBox One and XBox One to PS4 the games would probably be Naughty Dogs next game and maybe DR3 (or Titanfall).

I love Naughty Dogs games. Ever since Crash Bandicoot & Jak & Daxter, I've been a fan. The fact that I met the 2 men who created the company (Jason Rubin & Andy Gavin) long before Crash was ever created makes me happy. Would love to see how well their games looked and played on a different system. 

For DR3 or Titanfall, it would be interesting to see these games would look or play any better on the PS4.

After Insomniac's last trainwreck of a game I'm not sure why anyone would want to "beg" for this.

Insomniac is a B tier, possibly C tier, developer. They haven't made anything of merit in a very long time

Why are cows always jumping the gun. We haven't seen anything and there is no hype.

I hope it turns out a good game (like any other), but there isn't much interest yet. I remember some trailer vaguely, but I don't even know what it's about.

Why the **** are people begging for this game. From what I hear Insomniacs last non Ratchet game was **** (Not Resistance the last multiplatform one). Hell their non traditional Ratchet games All For One and Full Frontal Assault weren't great either. Unless they're releasing traditional Ratchet, I don't even pay attention.

I think they should have killed it when bungie still had it. Halo 2 and 3, the only good ones.

They said that they were going multiplat to expand their fan-base and let more people enjoy their games but then come and make an exclusive game for an unreleased platform that is not Sony's! Their loss though since PS4 is gonna destroy the Xbone. Merica is gonna turn into PlayStation territory very soon.  :twisted:

Halo is still fun. Millions still play it off and online. As long as it keeps selling 6-11 million unit for each game, it's not going anywhere. I loved the PS2 Ratchet & Clank games, but when they moved to the PS3, it lost its charm.
