No... but not because of price, like you might think. Strictly based on continued weak 3rd party support... if I'm going to pay that much to play, I want great games from EVERYBODY. The LOW price was one reason I bought the Wii... not as much of a gamble.
I will pay that money for a PS3 but not for a Nintendo console, seeing as how I know fully well that Nintendo wont bother to push another format that will fail like the GC discs did, which were what really killed the console in terms of 3rd party support. For 700 bucks, that isnt justification for buying a Nintendo console. I like their consoles because they are affordable and have great first party support, if I want big 3rd party games, thats why I am getting a PS3.
Hell no. Nintendo games use an art style that could be fully done last gen.... and there's no way they'd gain 3rd party support. Wii was their only chance and so far it has turned out great. Long term is still in question though.
Timstuff kinda works here at GameSpot. And I know that he has enough cash to "Buy it at a high price!" Say, Timmy, maybe you can talk to some Nintendo reps and let them know that the 'consumers are ready!'
no one should just be blindly loyal to any company. i've bought every nintendo console not because of my loyalty to nintendo. but because nintendo consistantly sells great hardware and software.
