Sackboy: A Big Adventure Story Trailer

What do you think, SW? Is the hype real for this game? My only reservation is that Sumo is developing this, not Media Molecule. But it does look like a good game. At least us Playstation gamers have a flagship platformer. I can't say the same for Xbox. I think the last one was Blinx, almost 20 yers ago! And that was third party.

it's sad how sackboy and bugsnax is better looking graphically than all of the series x first party launch games.

Instead of using doc brown time machine to save the clock tower they need it to save the 12 teraflops instead lol.

No hype for me on this one. Tried multiple times to get into the various Little Big Planet games and just never could. Pass.

Graphically nothing to write home about, especially with the incoming price hikes, which people are taking up the butt happily, but yea, rather play that than uh...

Eh, I dunno about this one. Considering I didn't even know this game existed until now, and every LBP game after 2 was kinda mediocre, I'm skeptical. LBP 1 was so memorable and revolutionary, and 2 was also pretty good. But then they started focusing way more on gimmicks than actual platforming fun. (which I guess is kinda the point of the game anyway?) But I did look this up and from what I saw, it does look really fun. I'll keep an eye out😃

We know that already. He's talking about the actual Ori games in general regardless of what it's one. And I agree Ori was a great platform but not the very best I played so far.

If we're lumping in platformer as a general term, it was better than the other Xbox offerings...Recore and Super Lucky's Tale.

Best platformer of the gen was easily Super Mario Odyssey.

Sounds like Ballsackboy and Bugsnax are the perfect games for you lol.

Yup, know you've heard me go on about it, but it looks really good so far. Dumps the garbo platforming mechanics of LBP and is focused on just being a solid platformer. Just from that short trailer you can see so many mechanics and level design ideas lifted from 3d Mario titles, which is great, along with its own new elements.

One of the few games coming to these new consoles that I'm actually interested in trying, really hope to see more soon.

The ship sailed already for this game on the PS3. Absolutely no interest.

@jcrame10: Since Blinx? That I can think of..Ori 1 and 2, Max and the curse, Lucky's tale, Gianna Sisters....Honestly I don't know, I've played and loved Ori, and Max..but it's not my most researched or played genre.

Yea. It was one of those games that got announced as PS5/PS4 when they announced Miles Morales was coming to PS4.

Yea.. I don't think people consider Ori a flagship IP for Xbox, do they? Loved both games though.

It's a totally different game though. Like Conan said, they even got rid of the weird floaty mechanics.

If they fixed the shite platforming, i'm definitely interested. I want to get into the nitty-gritty nowadays, and play the damn game. I've been playing Ni No Kuni remastered and i'm getting annoyed with all the verbiage.

Yeah, nothing against a solid story as i'll still play a solid RPG, but nowadays I just want to play. I actually started playing Super Mario World recently and it's golden.

Yeah, not saying the game is def gonna be good, could be a shit show in the making. But writing it off due to the previous LBP titles seems a bit odd. Unless you just dislike the art style that much.

It looks like a completely different game, everything from the main concept, to the sub-genre, to the mechanics.

If anything it looks like Mario 3D World mashed up with some Galaxy ideas, but with a LBP coat of paint.

As someone who thought the LBP games were trash to play, just not seeing how that translates to what they've shown here.
