The Dualshock 3 is coming with motion sensing technology. People always compared the 360's controller to the PS3's Sixaxis and said they wanted rumble and somecould care less about motion sensing. IMO the Dualshock 3 will be the best controller out b/c it has both features in one controller unlike the Wii's, which has two parts with both features. However, i think the PS3's controller will be a bit pricey whichfanboys will definitely attack at.

I also did read in 1UPthe Dualshock 3 will have nex-genrumble, which wouldhave rumblein differentregions of the controller.Something Sony might add onfor more appeal.

What do u think? And Don't give me that "But you didntplay the Dualshock 3, how would you know." I sure this won't let down in satisfaction

Technically, yes the DS3 will be the better controller.

However, it depends on which one you think is more comfortable to use.

It's all personal preference. I prefer the 360 controller because I like the stick placement and the larger design. Also, the L2 and R2 buttons feel better and more "natural" to me.

From my time spent with the PS3 pad I think the L2 and R2 buttons dont work as well as triggers and another thing that I didnt like is how cheap it felt. The current PS3 controller is too light but the rumble components will add to the weight I hope.

There is no such thing as the "best controller". It's really all about preference. TrueReligion_

I kind of like playing games with this the most.

From Flight Simulators to First Person Shooters, I really like using the joystick.

its weird because the 360 cramps my hands rather than the ps3.the way i hold it is by supporting the controller on my fingertips rather than teh palms which is hard on the 360 controller=P

i can see why people like teh 360 one though.its all about preferance.

well i actually ilike it better when it's light, but as mentioned before it's all about preference. I have always played with playstation controllers and that's the only controller i can take other than the 360 which is comfortable too. I never bought any logitech or other brand controllers.

Its the most comfortable imo.

Really even with the battery pack jutting out the back? The dualshock 3 is the actual true winner, because its design has been around for more than a decade. What other controller scheme can claim that?

Comfort FTW... Dualshock hurts my hands after a long while but 360's never. If the d-pad was better it would be the perfect controller almost IMO

Playstation has always had the best Controls. You need a r2 and l2. thats why you can play with the best FPS controls and other games. Its jus perfect and you do alot of canceling attacks in most games with this controller. jus awesome...

I don't like the 360 controller, so it'll definitely be better than that as far as I'm concerned. I think the Wiimote is pretty nice though... it's just a shame that I rarely use it. >_>

No, being that I never liked the Playstation controller from the orignal to now. And yes, I said controller without an "s". It hasn't changed enough over the years to be considered different controllers.

Nope. SCEA confirmed rumble in the DS3 is same as in the DS2. And even if it did have next-gen rumble, it would still be the same cramp-inducing shape as the SIXAXIS. Wiimote and 360 controller FTW.

360's controllers crush all others. Ive hated Playstation controllers since PS1. They are so uncomfortable, small, slippery, terrible analogs, light weight, etc, etc...

As versatile as the system is, the PS3 has the least ergonomical controller, at least in my hands. It's light, feels flimsy, like a cheap toy I could break easily, the analog sticks are too close together, and to top it all off it only has little "nubs" to hang on to. Even the triggers are kind of awkward. Oh well... at least it's the gateway to arguably the most powerful console and a hell of a blu-ray player :).

Wii-mote is comfortable because it allows freedom and fits nicely, the 360 just has a solid, well laid-out controller.

Though I've always been fond of the PS controller, for a leftie the 360 works Puurrfect. The position of the left analog stick is perfect for FPS's, and even sports games (Tiger woods a guilty pleasure). Kinda lame that it seems Sony was forced into re-adding rumble because of poor console sales. Never a good thing to be forced by your fan base to address a design problem (yes you can add RROD issue)

I like the 360 controller, but the dual-analog Playstation controller IMO is the greatest controller ever invented. And now with rumble being put back in, it owns even more.

I don't understand how people can defend the fact that Sony has not tried to dramatically improve their controller for the past 10 years. If the "handles" were a little bigger and the sticks rearranged a bit then it would be much, much more comfortable. As it is now I just can't get used to it, if the handles were a bit bigger it would negate the fact that the triggers have a rounded edge that makes it easy for your fingers to slip off.

In this case "don't fix what isn't broken" isn't a line Sony fans should defend with because the PS controllers have been a poorly implemented design from the start. Adding nubs to an SNES controller doesn't make it easier to play.

Amazing that a company who puts so much thought and money into the console doesn't put the same thought and money into the controller. The Bananarang would probably have been better than the Sixaxis/DS3. Too bad everyone laughed it into oblivion.
