I bought a 360, and and Wii, and been having a total blast ever since, there is still no reason for me to buy a PS3, the 360 is better on every level tahn the PS3, they have yet to have the killer title they need, we will see if Uncharted is comparable to even Gears of War, not to mention the incredible season the 360 is having this holiday
If you're only going to buy 1 console this gen, I would recommend waiting for at least 3-6 months. MS probably has a round of price-cuts set for the 360 in the near future, and the future of BR is pretty undecided with recent developments like the $98 HD-DVD player and CH-DVD. Also by doing that you'll be able to see how the majority of major PS3 titles (MGS4 and KZ2, possibly GT5 and FFXIII) hold up.
yes, if you were going to buy a PS3, next year is the time to do it. and who knows, tehre may even be another price drop between here and then. black_awpN1That's what I'm thinking. I have heard several people in the electronics industry say that Blu Ray will be your leader and the main source for DVD's in a few years plus I like Sony. I may just wait one more year.

I didn't know Mass Effect was coming out on PS3, oh its not, and the better news is that most if not all of the multiplat will be as good or better on 360

Please, were ascending from the era where PS3 ports are inferior to 360 ones. From here on out theyll most likely all be the same. Your jsut too blind to see it.
I had decided to go with the 360 but now I'm having second thoughts. Blu Ray seems like it is doing well, and there are some really great games coming for the PS3 that I want that I can't get on the 360 like God Of War 3, Metal Gear, Killzone, and Drake's Fortune so I may actually hold off another year and buy a PS3 next year and enjoy my PS2 for 1 more year. Both systems are great, but I just feel like I should mabye wait and stay with Sony. Anyone else having this problem? JDW_games
i was really big on playstation2. but the 360 had alot to offer when i first bought it. i couldn't pass up the functionality of what it was able to do. but i will just tell you that the 360 has a great lineup this year and they playstation3 has a great lineup next year. KillZone 2 is something unexpected and you still don't have enuff information on. its only good looking at this point. as for metal gear, we all know how great that game is going to be. i would just say Buy a 360 now, try and complete mass effect, orange box, bioshock, halo 3, assassins creed. rent all those games, then if you must, sell your 360 on ebay and get a playstation3, then rent or buy those games. but i would strongly rent and try ps3 games first. then you can make your final thoughts. afterall if you didnt like the 360 to begin with, then atleast you have a ps3. but i will tell you that you should not get the 40GB due to lack of software backwords compatability. anyway, that would be my idea. but i own all the games consoles so i dont half to think like that. atleast you wont miss out on any games, and you get a feel for both consoles. they are both excellent. Decide!

Maybe ME 2. Never the first one.
Exclusivesthat attract me to the 360: Lost Odyssey, Alan Wake, Beautiful Katamari, Condemned 2, Ninja Gaiden 2
Exclusives that attract me to the PS3: Killzone 2, Warhawk, Final Fantasy XIII, Gallian Chronicles, Metal Gear Solid 4, LittleBigPlanet,
PS3's free online service in addition to the exclusives I'm after on it is what got my vote for the PS3.
The chances of ME ever coming to the PS3 are slim to none. First off ME1 can't come to the PS3 because MS owns the rights to it, and releasing the 2nd and 3rd installments is kind of redundant without the 1st. Also despite being owned by EA, bioware is still run much like an independent entity, look at their recent partnership with EA rival Lucasarts. EA isn't going to screw around with Bioware because the risk of that talent jumping ship isn't worth selling a couple hundred thousand copies of Mass Effect on the PS2.
Also in its history Bioware has traditionally been an Xbox/PC developer. Other than MDK 2 (easily Bioware's worst effort) Bioware has never developed outside of the Xbox/PC. We can also look at Bioware's staffing. Between its 2 studios Bioware is working on 5 different projects, the Mass Effect trilogy (including DLC), Dragon Age, Sonic DS, their MMO and a "next-gen" RPG. Thats alot of work on many different platforms, the 360, PC, DS and possibly the PS3 (Bioware admitted to "exploring the possibilities" of developing a game for the PS3).
All this adds up to is ME remaining 360 timed-exclusive with PC versions coming a year or two after the 360 installment's release. if the PS3 is going to be getting any Bioware games I'd look at the untitled RPG, not Mass Effect.

you have a strong point i cannot argue with, but a few hundred thousand copies on mass effect? i think more then that considering Resident evil 4's move from the cube to the playstation 2. it only sold even more copies of that franchise.
Buy a PS3 and get a 360 later when MS finally solves the RROD problem.fierro316
is it still not solved? alot of my friends bought elites and they aren't having problems.

It's mostly the older consoles that are possibly getting it now. Newer ones seem to be free of the problem for the most part. In any case, it's around 20-25% that are getting the RROD (well, as estimated by retailers).
Not buying it due to that is a joke considering that it's fixed for free if anything happens. They can't really do anything about the older 360 owners other than the warranty in case anything happens, which is far from certain.
