Graphically pathetic game this whole gen. I've been trying to get into it since release and quite simply, it's horrible. Cars/people/obstacles pop-in right at the last second, it's like playing a PSone game. Anyone else find this?DarthJohnova:lol: if graphics are killing a game for you over the gamplay you shouldnt be gaming

hahahaahahaha no.
Strangely its better than most games thats come out this gen and tbh SR2 was probably worse.Besides this game has Sasha Grey so all of your points are null and void.
I'd hate to see what you'd say about Deadly Premonition graphics.
Anyway, Saints row strenght never was its graphic as for these pop up, it happen but not to such degree TC...at least not on my end.
my buddy that i co-op'd through the whole thing with mentioned this and i was having so much fun i never even noticed it looked bad.
i just figured his judgement was ruined since i just helped him build a new pc and everything looks terrible compared to it.
seriously the concept that it looked bad never even entered my head.
he also said it had a terrible draw distance but i never noticed that either.
Someone clearly didn't play Saint's Row 2...now those were BAD graphics...but the game was simply so freaking fun.

madsnakehhh
yea SR3 imporoved on the graphics front.
I love how people act like graphics isnt all that important when its probably the #2 most important feature for a game and the most important to improve in any sequel.
my vote for worst would be gun.
it's like they just upscaled the textures from the original xbox game and shipped it.

How is it number 2 most important? In some games sure but not really most other times.
it is important but i trade looks for extra frames per second all the time when i play pc games so i guess i don't see it as some kind of tragedy when they do it in console games.I love how people act like graphics isnt all that important when its probably the #2 most important feature for a game and the most important to improve in any sequel.

Graphics are as important in games as good animation in an animated movie. I would not play a game with awful graphics for the exact same reason I will not watch a film with bad animation.

That's kind of a poor analogy because unlike movies where special effects in most cases (depending on the movie) make or break the movie, a game can have "awful" graphics but still be great.
graphics can be important but they arnt really that importantGraphics are as important in games as good animation in an animated movie. I would not play a game with awful graphics for the exact same reason I will not watch a film with bad animation.

I just hope he never finds out about Deadly Premonition, Mount & Blade, Homefront, Bullet Witch, Dead Island (Some parts of the game look absolutely amazing while other look like rancid ass), Final Fantasy XI, Splatterhouse, Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad or Risen on the 360.
I love how you're all jumping on me for being a 'graphics whore HURR DURR, deadly premonition HURR DURR', I've played and enjoyed many things with 'sub-par graphics' but the gameplay is hardly good for a TPS and the 'craziness' is just immature really... Again, just my opinion but don't shoot me down in flames because I 'can't appreciate good gameplay'.DarthJohnova
Want a game with awful TPS mechanics? Play GTAIV.

I'll agree with this too :PThe graphics aren't that great, but they're not terrible, the game itself is great though, I've really enjoyed it so far.

WAIT! Back up a second....this game has Sasha Grey!? :O Well Lord Lipton Flippin Moses! Why wasn't I informed!? lolLooks like a list that proves bad graphics = bad games. Anyway TC, I'm guessing you're playing on a console because the PC version looks fine. Pop in still occurs though.I just hope he never finds out about Deadly Premonition, Mount & Blade, Homefront, Bullet Witch, Dead Island (Some parts of the game look absolutely amazing while other look like rancid ass), Final Fantasy XI, Splatterhouse, Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad or Risen on the 360.

I didn't see too much pop in (especially not psone levels of pop in). lol I have the ps3 version maybe that's the best one. The physics is quite bad though compared to GTA4, where pedestrians wrap around your bumper. SR still does that GTA3 thing where pedestrians just fly into the air when you drive into them. Also let's face it for the objects in the game world itself Havok physics is way out of date.

Risen and Mount and Blade are very good games imo.

I just mentioned some games that don't really look good, that's it.
