That is your opinion ,you are entiteled to it even though i do not agree.
My opinion is that they are close enough with their estimates to rely on for sales trends.
Also historical data er top notch, since they are always updated if the estimate was to far off.

And monthly sales trends, I agree, because they use NPD numbers for their monthly figures. Weekly sales trends, no, because no retailer provides weekly sales figures to ANYONE, so there's no point in providing VGChartz' weekly sales figures.
I will not have this debate with you again. NPD also estimates. Japans media create and famitsus numbers are usually different even though they are supposed to be tracking 100% of all sales over there.
So if myself and others fing vgchartz numbers to be accurate enough to show sales trends, what is it to you? Don't you like the numbers ? Do you feel that your peticular console that you cherish above all is treated unfairly by vgchartz?
Weekly from vgchartz are estimates, NPD are estimates. Face it and move on.
Since vgchartz update their numbers if they get to far off from other guessers and real sales lists ,i really don't see the problem of using them for indications in the marked.
NPD estimates to within 1% accuracy. VGChartz estimates to within 30% accuracy. The math should not be hard, even for you. NPD actually takes steps to correct their estimates by running polls involving hundreds of thousands of individual buyers. VGChartz says, "I think the PS3 will sell this many consoles," and does nothing to verify their guesses.
And no, I don't like the numbers because they are always fake. They aren't even estimates. They are just fake. As in, 100% guessed. No verification. No sources.
If retailers provided weekly numbers, I would not complain at all, but they don't provide weekly numbers. Retailers have not provided weekly numbers to anyone for YEARS. That is why I have a problem with VGChartz providing weekly numbers. And more to the point, that is why I have a problem with trolls like you touting VGChartz' weekly numbers as factual when there is absolutely no factual backing behind them whatsoever. At least monthly sales figures, whether from NPD or VGChartz, can be verified by official sales reports from retailers, but weekly sales figures cannot be verified at all because no retailer provides weekly sales figures.
STOP POSTING WEEKLY NUMBERS. Weekly numbers DO NOT EXIST. Retailers only report MONTHLY NUMBERS.
