Imagine that in 10 or 12 months next summer you'll be able to walk into a videogame store and pick up any game for Nintendo with a selection of tastes for every gamer . . .

  • Fatal Frame Torch Remote surival horror game.
  • The Conduit customizable 32p online shiny lights! fps.
  • Exclusive RPGs
  1. Final Fantasy Chronicles 2
  2. Fragile Farewell Ruins of the Moon
  3. Tales of Symphonia 2 available and looking really good
  4. and Maybe Sword of Legendia
  5. & Arc Rise Fantasia
  • Mad World looks kinda rad.
  • Red Steel 2 might be okay.

- A geeky game called Disaster Day of Crisis
- An even geekier game called Deadly Creatures about insect fighting or summing.
- A few exclusive fighting games, ones Star Wars with Lightsabers and Castlevania. Both incredibly geeky.
- And loads of dumbass games like Warioland the Shake Dimension, That are obviously gonna be overrated until maybe I play on them. Monster Lab. Trauma Center 3. Warioware 2.
- And some lame weak ass motion controls versions of Call of Duty & The Force Unleashed tm. Plus all the games the sheep graze on about now such as No More Heroes and Super Mario Galaxy, whatever.

BUT DO NOT FROWN AS BY SUCH A TIME has passed every Wooly Nintendo Jumper sheep is gonna be going on about the next Zelda and Kid Icarus games et cetera that are coming out holiday season. Plus there's gonna be a load new games announced cause of the sales.

Thank you for reading even though there was a lot of text. Just saying don't give up on Nintendo yet because by next year you'll probably want one anyway.

See Comments.

This is all part of Nintendo's Revolution. It will be Nintendo Fans that benefit the most as games come out after heavy sales across the field fertilized the industry (for Nintendo).

I am not really interested in any of those, besides Madworld, which looks like it'll be a lot of dumb mindless fun.

In NPDS and thee Japan sales, yes. The Wii overtook the 360 life to date sales about 6 months ago.

No killer apps, nothing on the horizon and the Wiimote sucks for the majority of gaming tasks. Hell, they couldn't even make it work well with Mario Kart.

I also believed this at first but so far I have yet to see one sign of this being true. the PS3 and 360 are getting more and more games from third party devs and the Wii is still truggling to get any attention from them. Capcom and EA is almost the only devs that care about the Wii in a serious way.

Yes, but obviously, said publishers had put all their eggs in one basket (PS3/360) and counted Wii as a fad. They must not have thought that Wii would surpass the userbase of PS3 AND 360 combined (and might even still be ignoring it). And i guess because the Wii has disrupted plans so much, there may even be an element of 'hate' towards it. While this is most probably true in the Western spectrum of the markets, in Japan, it is proving otherwise. Looks like Wii will be getting much better support from Japan and so don't be surprised to see EXCLUSIVES coming to Wii which have that quirky Japanese origin. (good for me, it's what i like :P).

in terms of quality games...not that many

Metroid Prime 3, Medal of Honor Heroes 2 did good for FPS controls
RE 4 for the shooting as well
Zack and Wikki
Boom Blox
Blast Works
Trauma Center

mario kart- nope better on a gamepad
Brawl- nope better on a gamepad
No More Heroes- it is mostly button mashing, and then a quick wrist movement....no improvement over a gamepad
Okami WIi- no PS2 gamepad was better for the game

Mario Galaxy is 50/50. On one hand it is awesome and the wiimote specefic stuff is fun as hell, but on the other hand the wii mote wasn't a big feature in this game, the level design and the game design was the lead here.

That about sums it up really. Has it been a revolution in game control? No. It has brought simplicity to many things as people who are not used to games find pointing and clicking more intuative.

I haven't totally given up on it yet but I do refuse to support this new era of 'spastic' like gaming where fun is to be made by flailing arms around rather than through tight and clever game controls/mechanics.

Not really. You will find a lot more games on the PS3 and 360 that controls fine with the main controls on those systems then you will find games that work great with the wii-mote.

Sorry kid. Nintendo forgot about us as soon as Wii fit sold out launch date :( Why would they go to the trouble of making good games when the non-games sell twice as much and are twice as easy to make?

Well, I do agree that the selection of games will gradually pick up.

I think a lot of those games will be some of the more quirky titles--which is perfectly fine with me, but probably upsetting to your typical American gamer who demands blockbuster action games with mature content. I'd say De Blob is a pretty good example of a quirky game.

JRPGS will probably play a strong role (see Fragile, Tales of Symphonia 2, Arc Rise Fantasia). Additionally, it looks like some of the non-blockbuster Japanese franchises will be making their way to Wii--for example, Tenchu IV, Monster Hunter 3, and Samba de Amigo.

As for Nintendo... like many of you, I am disappointed with the first-party lineup for the rest of '08. However, we know that games like Zelda and Pikmin are in the works, and while it sucks to have to wait for them, they are definitely coming.

False. 100% False! Look at the list of games Nintendo have released for gamers and then look the list of games for non-gamers! Nintendo still supports its *True* fanbase to this day with quality games! Your basing your opinion on nothing more than E3 which was more for tabloids than gamers. I'd love to see any other 1st party developer push out quality games like Nintendo but sadly Sony nor Microsoft are not even in the same league let alone compete with Nintendo.

If no one is supporting the Wii then whats with Monster HUnter 3, Fatal Frame 4, Tenchu 4, De Blob, Deadly Creatures, MadWorld, The Conduit, Sadness, Dead Rising, StarWars: SOme crap title insert here, Kid Iracus, Pikmin 3, Battle Robots! Oh damn several of those are exclusives!

People tend to not realise the Wii is doing exactly the same as the DS! No one supported it for the 1st 2 years but now look at how much 3rd party support the DS has now in comparison to the PSP.

Wait for what exactly?! Theres a large selection of games on the Wii already. People seem to forget that 3rd party supports the Wii.

Well so far, Sales haven't brought too many AAA titles to the Wii aside from first party titles, the Wii has been outselling the other two for at least a year if not longer.

True, but it sure takes longer than a year to make a AAA game--and it doesn't help that devs can't just churn out games based on the Unreal Engine, as they can on other platforms.

It all depends on the developers and if they make the controls work.
