Bottom line its probably gonna average over 90% on gamerankings so why are nitpicking about the individual score?

AAA content is AAA regarless if its 90.0% or 99.9%, lets stop fueling the fire of system wars...

I agree. I'm a fan but I don't think it'll score as good as everyone seems to believe it will. Maybe 9.0 for GS, I mean the other games were great but they didn't get 9.0's either...

I would say it should be AAA. If there was something that was going to be such a flaw that it would drop below that status, we would know about it by now.nicenator

The OPM's review only fault was...that... it lasted too long, as in it looked like it was going to end at one point then BAM! it continued to the real ending.

I dont think it will get a 10 as i dont want it too, there is no such thing as a perfect game, otherwise if it was perfect then that would be saying games dont beed to get better. GTA4 should NOT have gotten a 1o, the review even says its not perfect and it isn't.

based on how this site liked the previous mgs's i'm going to say either 8.5 or 9.0

however, if they have any sense, then 9.5 would be the way to go. i really don't think this game could get a 10.

amazingly well done! the gameplay looks like itll be amazing throughout. something which previous MGS titles lacked! i never liked the gameplay that much. just wanted the story. this time it looks like we'll be getting the best MGS4 story so far and the best gameplay by a long shot!

definately a 9.5.

no doubt itll be a 10 for core fans, but i think gamespot will mark it down to 9.5 because so much of the time is spent watching cutscenes. you would have to be emotionally invested in the entire MGS saga to appreciate it to its fullest and not everyone can say that.

the reason GTA4 got a 10 is because of the fantastic gameplay and story. but because it is a standalone game, you dont really have to have played any of the other GTA games at all to know whats happening, because its all self contained. meaning more people can enjoy it to its fullest without any prior knowledge of the series. and MGS4 will be different in that respect, thus getting a lower score.

i dont agree with it but its true.

How are people predicting 10's from GS and IGN?

GTA4 is a very, very rare occasion a game gets a 10 from IGN.

IGN even said that it had been a decade since a game got a 10 before GTA4... MGS4 wont get a 10 from IGN, not that it's not worthy, it just wont happen.
