I leave it for you to judge for me I think GT Academy looks a little bit better than Forza 3.

Great! Compare a 200mb demo that is a competition/showcase of physics with a full game!
We`ve all seen the TGS demo, we know how GT5 graphics are gonna be.
having played the demo and forza 3 and looking at those pics...i stick to what ive been saying, car models in GT5 look slightly better but other then that everything else is better in forza 3
I think this demo is inferior to the demo at Gamescom, but until PD confirm this, we'll never know.having played the demo and forza 3 and looking at those pics...i stick to what ive been saying, car models in GT5 look slightly better but other then that everything else is better in forza 3

Well except the grass and the colorful environment GT demo beats F3 in everything in term of graphics and from what I played in the demo GT physics are slightly better than F3 and more realistic.

Actually, it IS inferior. Its even inferior to Prologue. This demo is just as the warning says, a Physics demo. There are things that are in Prologue that are not here, maybe to cut the size of the demo aswell.

Thank god for that :)I am playing the demo right now and I can say I an not the least bit impressed with teh graphics of GT5. I don't think they look good at all. Aliasing on the shadows, sprites for the trees and crowd, the enviroment is bland as all hell... very underwhelming.
Good driving physics though. I tried bouncing off of a wall, didn't work to well.
saying that this is just phsyics demo therefore the graphics were downgraded might help cows sleep at night but that aint the case, the game will look same as the demo and why exactly would Polyphony downgrade the demo just to lower the demo size doesnt make any sense
Worse than looking bad is looking boring. This demo seens extremely unapealing. People hype GT5 to have monstruosly awesome graphics and forget that despite the cell and all other things, its a game that run 60 fps at a pseudo 1080p resolution. PS3 can do great things but anyone shouldn't expect bullshot-like quality. With that in mind the demo is said to be only a showcase for physics and not the final product in any way, the release version should look better. But then again there is so much misinformation about GT5 that i don't knowhat to believe.
Now this looks awesome ;)!
200mb? thats some serious compression.Great! Compare a 200mb demo that is a competition/showcase of physics with a full game!

Have you ever actually raced a car? I played the demo and its not more realistic then F3....

LOL, If final game will look like this trial it will look worse than Prologue:

That's a no. So how can you say it races or, "feels" more realstic when you have no basis for comparison?

I never said no I got Honda NSX 1999 but I never tried racing on circuit only did some highway racing (I wont call them a races since in most of them the speed didnt exceed 220 KMph) but I know how to tell if the car controlling is realistic or no.

GT has better car graphics
Forza3 has better everything else
For me though racing games are all about GAMEPLAY

OH well back to Gran Turismo 1 and 2 I guess.
Yah I can't get into bumper cars anymore after the genre evolved on consoles with Forza, although at the time I loved them

The only game that driving actually feels realistic is in GTR2.[QUOTE="kweeni"]
meh both look pretty much the same. who cares about those damn details anyway, like you're going to pay attention to them when you're playing
i just want to play GT5 already..

I'm with you, they need to release this damn game already.
Yeh they should of released it this month.[QUOTE="Nagidar"]

I have actually raced on a track, hell, I've even tested cars on a skid pad, the physics in GT are not more realistic then F3. Here's an example, this wasn't by me BTW, a Evo X FQ 360 was put to 3 tests against a GTR, when they tested the latteral G's, the Evo X hit 1.61, when I suped up a Evo X in F3 and turned hard into a corner, it hit 1.66 G's, now THATS accurate.

The only game that driving actually feels realistic is in GTR2. Forza and GT do a good job of blending accessibility and a sim imo, but neither are proper sims.[QUOTE="Nagidar"][QUOTE="Kashiwaba"]

The only game that driving actually feels realistic is in GTR2.Agreed, it goes, GTR2 > F3.
The only thing I hated about GTR2 was lack of vehicles...

I never said said Forza 3 is an Arcade racer or its physics sux ==; but the way you control cars in GT felt slightly more realistic to me than F3.

One aspect does not make one more realistic than another, neither Forza nor GT have the steering quite right, but we're using controllers anyway, not like its easy to "feel" that.
As far as actual racing physics, F3 is better, at least, for now, we'll have to wait for the retail game to see if that will stand or not.
car models and the cockpit looks like 10x better on GT5, but the environments on Forza 3 looks way ahead of GT5
The demo is 200MB, my God. It's only being used for the competition then being pulled... It does not represent the final product graphically... This is just getting silly.saying that this is just phsyics demo therefore the graphics were downgraded might help cows sleep at night but that aint the case, the game will look same as the demo and why exactly would Polyphony downgrade the demo just to lower the demo size doesnt make any sense

Get a steering wheel, PD plays the game with logitech steering wheels. You haven't experienced Gran Turismo if you don't have one.
I can guarantee at least 90% of the time trial winners will be using steering wheels
GT5 has better interior views and interior lighting. But is much fuzzier and distorted compared to Forza's clean looking interior views (which can be either good or bad, depending on what you prefer to look at). The exterior views, which of course don't really matter to racing enthusiasts, are about the same. Not that impressive for all the wait on GT5's behalf.
Both of the them look exactly the same. Cockpit and the actual car models look better in GT5, though. What I'm wondering is why it's 2009 and grass continues to look like a child scribbled a green crayon on the ground. Textures for both games for the ground are not very pleasant. :(
I am just wondering how anyone thinks forza 3 enviroments are better, with the difference between grass textures between the 2 games. It isn't just remotely better quality textures, it is like a generation ahead. The graphics look alot worse in forza 3. Like I have to lie to myself in order to say forza 3 looks better.
How do they look anything alike is mind blowing. Both of the them look exactly the same. Cockpit and the actual car models look better in GT5, though.
