I don't mind. I have tons of square enix games on ps2 and such.

Now, if the ps3 was the only system I had, I would be very angry, but it's not. So I don't feel too bad at all.

I'm sure this was Lemmings with the original Xbox and dont' forget the little fact that FF series is still exclusive to PS3 (when it will be released I have no idea......maybe when all the devs finish up all the X360 games lol).

Yesterday, Square Enix announced a couple games for the Xbox 360. Previously PS3-only Star Ocean 4 is indeed Xbox 360 bound. And multiplatform release The Last Remanent is getting released on the Xbox 360 first. Today, Square Enix announced it's upcoming "private party" in August that will be showcasing PS3, PSP, DS and mobile games. (No Xbox 360 titles, apparently!) Dubbed "DKΣ3713", the two-day Shinjuku event will be limited to only 2,400 attendees, picked by raffle through the Japanese Square Enix Members website. The event will have new demos and new trailers. Games that will be on hand are:

FINAL FANTASY XIII（PS3）
FINAL FANTASY Versus XIII（PS3）
FINAL FANTASY Agito XIII（Mobile）
KINGDOM HEARTS Coded（Mobile）
KINGDOM HEARTS 358/2 Days（DS）
KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep（PSP）
DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY（PSP）
The 3rd Birthday（Mobile）
Sigma Harmonics（DS）
FINAL FANTASY VII ADVENT CHILDREN COMPLETE（Movie／Blu-ray）
Whew! Look at that, FINAL FANTASY XIII is of course still listed as only a PS3 title. And look, that rumor that FINAL FANTASY Agito XIII has been canned is not true. Just what Japan needs, more Final Fantasy. But where is Dragon Quest IX? Not listed, that's where! The event seems geared towards the FFXIII series and the Kingdom Hearts franchise.

Oh, and note, no clue what will be in trailer form and what will be playable - but we seriously doubt FINAL FANTASY XIII will be in playable demo form.

WHat do you think would happen if Last Remnant released simultaneously. mPS3 would get 80% of the sales easily, where as the 360 version will flop.

This way, the 360 version gets a nice boost for being the only version on the market. WHen PS3 version shiops later, itll still get decent sales.

Thats why. Square wants to give 360 a proper chance.

Maybe they're waiting for more people to buy a PS3 so their time and effort making the PS3 version won't be in vain. Like you said, one of their game wasn't much of a seller on the previous Playstation console.

PS2 had a huge fanbase but Star Ocean didnt even sell well... On 360 it will definantly flop in sales....

Well I said screw you Square for different reasons than that.

- Not bringing final fantasy and chrono trigger to VC (wanting to milk remakes >_>)

- Destroying the Mana name

- FF series becoming lackluster since FF8 IMO

All that said I will still probably buy their games >_>

Sony snoozed or they do not have enough free cash to buy exclusives, whatever the case they messed up. The fact that SO4 is exclusive is what is shocking.

probably both reasons. Last Remnant would definately perform better on 360 only during the holidays. Either way, Square is giving 360 a fair chance.

i can't wait until kingdom hearts gets announced for the Wii. Even though I hate the series and don't care where it goes it'll be worth it for the entertainment value alonevicmackey39

Tekken? Well, anything can happen, but Tekken has been with the PS consoles since day one. It would make absolutely no sense for Sony to lose that. Sony did say they would start paying for exclusives so I don't see them losing Tekken.

Sony's user base ain't what it used to be,

Like they are doing this because of honor or somethign....they are a business for crying out loud. Everythign revolves around $$$$. If they are giving timed or flat out exclusivity, it's because MS paid them for it. Whether than payment is development costs or paying for all the marketing, its still a payoff.

Well, TC, you have three choices to make now.

A) Whine about it just like you are now
B) Stop whinning and hope they end up on the PS3 soon
C) Invest in the 360

The reality is, the PS3 with some work will be in the 360's shoes at the end of the gen - and you will see a vast majority of titles (yes, from Square-Enix as well) that will be 360 - PS3 multiplat, or 360 - PS3 - PC multiplat.

Waaaa :cry: Sony lied to us Waaaaa, Do you really think that Sony was counting on the PS3 getting its butt kicked by the Wii? They underestimated the competition. I especially remember one quote I read in my magazine before the PS3 came out. "Microsoft is aiming for the Moon. We are aiming for the Sun" They were on top last gen and the gen before that, Of course they were gonna be arrogant. Most people get arrogant when they are on top, especially for ten years. They expected to win the whole thing without any competition, they expected the devs all backing Sony again and making many exclusives. They guessed wrong, they made a mistake, everyone makes mistakes you know. I'm perfectly happy with this gen anyway, I owned a PS2 last gen and a Nintendo 64 before that, But I was really quite young during those years and I just played any crap that came my way.

P.S Being able to turn off and turn on my PS3 with the controller is a God given gift, Thats one improvement which I loved so much. (I'm extremely Lazy while I play games)

Square Enix has always been loyal to what console sells the most...oh wait! Yep, they were loyal to PS1 and PS2, but not to Wii of course. They are becoming loyal to Xbox 360 even though lemmings have proven they like Western rpgs far more than Japanese rpgs. Makes a lot of sense to me!

Then again, maybe Microsoft is handing Square Enix a lot of money...
