SE: Fans will be happy to have waited for Versus XIII

Square Enix been dropping many hints and more than useual talk about FF Versus XIII as of late, recently in an interview with Square Enix, they mention that the game is still in development but its taking too long because they want to make sure the game is as good as possible.

SE's president also said Versus XIII team now being pushed to work very hard to get us the fans more news, SE also said "Yoichi Wada is pushing this team and project as far as possible, Merceron says, adding that fans will be happy to have waited once more information on the game is announced.

SE did mention one time that Versus will be unlike any game anyone have ever played :o

Also, hints on new consoles?

Finally, Merceron also mentions Agnis Philosophy, the Square Enix Final Fantasy tech demo that was shown off multiple times earlier this year.

Replying to a query regarding Agnis Philosophy, Merceron replied: Well, around June next year, there will indeed be something different around Agnis Philosophy, which will perhaps be presented on platforms that are different from the ones being used so far. I cant tell you more, I can only say that its not going to be only on PC.

At this point all I care for is a multiplat announcement and some butthurt, not the game.

No, at this point I don't even care. I used to be one of the biggest defenders of Square Enix, hell I liked FFXII and XIII just as much as all the other releases. I don't think I'll be buying Versus XIII if it ever comes out. There are far more competent developers that deserve my money, time and attention than SquareEnix. At leash on the publishing side, they're still fantastic.

Nomura has been brainstorming this game since like 2001 you know! On top of this he is the director, the designer, the writer and art director of this game and if he could play an instrument you can bet he would be the music composer too. FFvs it's his baby, his personal project and this game will be a breakthrough to his career. I can't even begin to imagine under all the pressure he has to be going through right now.

I want to believe! (that this game will me amazing)

I am too, but it's only curiosity rather than hype. I hate the japanese game development mentality and their point of vu as of late. I just want to see if they can prove me wrong with this one. (Which I'm sure they won't but curiosity is still fun:P)

Was hyped for it about 4 or 5 years ago, don't really care now, SE and Final Fantasy are both meh to me now.locopatho

I don't blame you, but everything we have seen (not a lot, but more than some games thats for sure) looks great to me, so I still have hope.

I hate when developers say this. It's like, so if we compared this to FFXIII: Lightning Returns then the third installment of FFXIII is going to be a load of crap since they didn't take too long with the game? Are they trying to just get it out there or are they also trying to make it as good as possible? And if it's the latter then what is the reasoning for Versus?

Overall, way to kill hype Square-Enix. You guys have become masters of that.

Well I'm hyped and faithful this turns out nothing like FFXIII. Toriyama has nothing to do with this one, it's had insane amounts of developement time and the gameplay trailer look frikkin awesome. What can possibly go wrong here? I'm pretty sure SE are listening to fan feedback here(prefrably the negative feedback).. Otherwise they wouldn't be saying such things as this;

Now the question is; WILL FF VERSUS XIII be the one to surpass FF7? Doubtful but at least they're trying. :D

I lost interest in this game and Square Enix a long time ago.6 years and almost nothing? No I will not be happy for waiting, I'm gonna go play another game.

Considering the Lightning Saga getting churned out rapidly, I don't get why this has taken so long. I'm not buying the excuse to make it the best it can be because it probably won't be revolutionary for the company/franchise.

I haven't even seen enough gameplay to come to the conclusion of if its unique or not.

My hype is so low for this game it would be hard for them to disappoint.

In the real world, yeah. On SW I don't even think it has any hype left. Even most cows gave up on this sh*t.

I'm just expecting a multiplat announcement and an average ass game with a terrible plot, terrible writing, terrible characters and amazing production values. Would love for SE to prove me wrong though.

A flop would indicate a level of hype around the game to begin with. There is no hype for this game around SW anymore so by technicalities it could actually be a success that way :P

but yeah I don't expect this game to do well
