Sea of Thieves PC System Requirements are up!

Taking from: PC Gamer it looks like Rare is trying to appease PC gamers with low rigs there able to run it without problems and I think this is a great idea. It will bring the game to a wider audience and just make the player base larger from the look of it.

I'm in the Ultra spec range, I still intend buying it on PC, so here's hoping Sea of Thieves turns out to be a fun game.

I like how their cpu requirements go up from 1080p/60fps to 4k/60fps, when it has no affect what so ever

I like how the requirements are low making many people able to play the game. I dislike how it's W10 exclusive, making a shitload of people not able to play the game.

The presets are different. It's for Medium and Ultra respectively.

Great to see that. I thought the game looked nice on the X and it wasn't even X-enhanced(except for the HDR, it was already in place I believe, my tv enabled HDR when I played the beta)

What kind of graphics are in this game to the point a GTX 1060 is only enough for medium at 60fps 1080p

Why's my 15fps option??? Anyone know how to interpret these requirements? I have a i7 second gen in my laptop with on board Intel 4400 graphics card I believe. So how do I know what settings I can run or if I can even run this game?

Low specs are key. Make sure anyone and everyone can play the game.

The quality setting is reflecting the resolution as well. This is likely a console port, given how they're emphasizing 4k@30 as being Ultra. I find it interesting that a GTX 1060 and RX 470 are in the same "tier". There's an inherent bias towards AMD GPUs if this is indicative of relative performance.

Edit: Or a 770 being in the same tier as a 1060 for that matter. In what universe.

The X1X is not running it at Ultra settings and lacks PC's AF and AA settings.

The last beta the X1X didn't have any 4k enhancements.

This might be true.

That being said the developers said it would run 4K/30 "almost" Ultra settings with HDR. That being said if the Beta is anything to go by id doesn't run that well... Not a solid 30FPS.

Good to know. I never made it in the beta, so i'm going in fresh with Sea of Thieves.

In Sea of Thieves, it's you and a group of friends online sail the seven seas as a pirate. Set sail in huge open ocean, you can drink, chit-chat, You can play the accordion naval battles like in Black Flag. It's a MP only game and no single player and if you really want a good Pirate game single player, I suggest looking into Skull & Bones.
