Seems Horizon: Zero Dawn has to Bow Out

The bow sucks but it's serviceable. It's not nearly as bad as the awful melee combat. There is just no impact when you hit people with a bow, they just stand there until their health goes down.

With the way the Geth Beasts move around, it would be unbowlievably hard with a more realistic bow.

Play when a Wii U emulator becomes good. The open world zelda is held back from greatness via sub 30 frame rates.

Horizon falls short on gameplay PERIOD.

I knew exactly what this game was from its first big gameplay demonstration. A few decent beasts, the rest is a pretty bland experience and the vs Human element is f*cking dreadful.

This game was never about its gameplay... are we still pretending otherwise?

What's wrong with the bow? I've had no problems. I'm not expecting ultra realistic bow mechanics from a fucking videogame if I wanted that I'd take archery lessons.

Personally I prefer using the tripcaster and the rattler but the bows are fine. Sling is a hoot too and the Shadow weapons when you get them are excellent. Great to see a game that doesn't make you jump through endless hoops just to get decent weapons. I'm loving the game so far.

Regardless of the Nintendo situation, critics opinions do matter, a lot, to gamers, hardcore or otherwise. People fall for reviews all the time. Highly rated games often sell very well and reveiws create buzz and attention...ultimately, they create hype and demand for a product. This is literally marketing 101, not just for games but for everything from restaurants to movies.

But Horizon Dawn vs Zelda of course Zelda will win for most due to nostalgia but with that being said I would rather play Horizon. I mean come robot dinosaurs vs a lady with a bow and arrow?
