Seems SE just prefers the 360 over the PS3

It does makes sense for SE to prefer the 360 over the PS3. SE is just smart and knows the better of the 2 consoles. Funny though how cows acted as if SE was basicly a first party at one time. Always saying MS will never get SE games because Sony owns some of SE :lol:

Project Sylpheed (360 exclusive ) there was a PS3 version planned a year after the 360 version but I do not see it anywhere now so must have been canned. Even then though the 360 got it a well before the PS3 if there is a PS3 version

Last Remnant- 360 timed exclusive

FF13 -360/PS3 - SE has choosen to delay the PS3 version because they want the 360 version to come out the same time.

FFvs13-PS3 exclusive- will not be out till 2010 earliest.

I may be missing a few.

So FF11 apparently sucked and even though it was on ps2 because they didn't waste money on a ps3 remake this is a plus for 360?

They didnt release it in japan because the 360 is basically dead in japan. The 360 has been out for 3yrs in japan and it still hasnt surpass 1 million sales....

The Xbox 360 has a much more powerful graphics card than the PS3.

One component a little more powerful does not mean the 360 is more powerful than the PS3, especially when power is not just graphics. PS3 has already shown that it's equal and even more powerful than the 360 in most aspects.

It will be a better port, but we got shafted because of the 360 Idont care that it turned multi, I care because we are getting a delay because of that. Japan will get it really early, and then they will start the port. How will that make the game better?

I don't understand this whole gaming blasphemy thing. Final Fantasy was never a one console series. It jumped from Nintendos systems to Sonys. Now it is on both PS3 and 360. What's the problem? The only people I think that are getting upset about it are Sony fanboys because they don't have much else to play until it comes out, whereas 360 owners have a ton to play until it comes out. But seriously, delaying a game may suck becaue you wanted to play it sooner, but a delay generally means a more polished result. I'd rather play a more polished game as opposed to one that was rushed out and half finished.

And for the record, Final Fantasy XI was awesome. The only reason most didn't like it was because you have to pay a monthly fee.

Square Enix is just expanding their business opportunity to the x360. Staying with Sony as they usually do, give Square a smaller limit of the market pool. Expanding to both consoles they have a chance to increase sales with increase revenue. It have nothing to do with playing favorites while money is the bigger priority.

Another note, these console exclusives are becoming the thing of the past among third party developers. third party developers are more concern in selling their games, while its sony and microsoft concern in selling their consoles and marking money off of it.

What i meant by gaming blasphemy is the prospect that because of the MS doing a behind the scenes deal (and we all know this happened) this huge title that a lot of people like is going to be held back to give 360 version a chance, ps3 gamers could be playing this sooner. And thats better than releasing it on both consoles same day, this has happened with other games in a reversed role and i still wasn't happy about that.

You calling ppl Fanboyz when SOME out there bought PS3 only( or at least for the main reason) for FF13? Its not about fanboys or not. Its about the main reasons you choose a console over the other. Maybe is the Blu-ray , maybe its the HD, but maybe its a game called FF13... And suddenly they see this game as multi? The easy thing to do , is say FANBOY this FANBOY that.

In the end though, the exclusives are what make you decide which console to choose and which not . It has nothing to do with fanboyism. Agree with you that is good for gaming , but is bad in a way for PS3 owners , they lost one more of MAJOR exclusive titles and for "some" out there a small/big reason not to go and buy a PS3 anymore..
