Sure... sega still makes games for the other two, but it seems like they're in Nintendo's corner and ready to do some serious damage on the new school rookies like Sony and MS who werent around for the glory days.

10+ year old good Sega titles which are available on many formats, or new, terrible Sega titles?
Sega sucks. In their entire time as a console manufacturer, they made one heavy hitting console. They did well with the Master System, and great with the Genesis. Their handhelds bombed, their Sega CD and Saturn bombed. Their final console, the Dreamcast, only sold 10.6 million units in a two year time period, then shriveled up and died. They hardly make anything that doesn't suck anymore. Having "Sonic Team" on the boxart now only provokes fear that the game will suck, not rock.
Nintendo would have to do most of the muscle, after the floppage of Sonic and the Secret Rings I don't see Sega offering much manpower. The fate of this battle is in Nintendo's hands alone.
That's like if (not meaning to be offensive, just picking certain countries) Russia and China wanted to take on the United States, but it's ok, cause the U.S.A has Ghana on it's side.

yeah, but Sega had a quality launch title (Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz), and a couple of months later they released one of the better Sonic games in quite some time, and now next month they're going to have Alien Syndrome which I'm personally hyped about cuz it has old-school shooter goodness (think a top-down contra). Now it's become almost certain that there is going to be a NiGhts game for the Wii and now they drop the bombshell that there is going to be a Sonic & Mario game. Sega is obviously in Nintendo's corner this gen, they're still supporting the other two and probably will continue to do so, but not nearly to the level they're supporting Nintendo.

Who cares if they're washed up... the fact that Nintendo's development team is getting access to Segas liscences could me big things, really big. segas biggest license is sonic. and yes i like sonic and the secret rings. its actually fun. but the games a decent good game. thats why it gota 7.6 or whatever. its not the high level quality games they had 10 years ago. people bash nintendo but atleast there franchises have life in them. Zelda, mario, metroid etc all are still are high quality games. u cant say that about sega anymore.

Sega should go 2nd party to Nintendo if they were really smart. Getting people like Miyamato and other skilled Nintendo people to work on some awesome Sega franchises would be awesome.

If you believe that you have not been gaming for long.....Us old players have been waiting for this for years I've been gaming since the SNES. That was when Sega owned hard. Now, they suck, and I don't care if they "team up" with Nintendo. They will still suck, only their suckage will be slightly less since Nintendo is there.
